iTunes Live: London Festival '08 is a five-song EP by Irish alternative rock singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes, released digitally on August 11, 2008 on the iTunes Store. [2] The songs were taken from the artists set at Koko, Camden Town London, UK as part of the iTunes Festival 2008. Gemma played on the same night as The Pretenders. [3]

Background

Gemma Hayes performed on July 30, 2008 at Koko, Camden Town for the iTunes Festival 2008. She supported The Pretenders. It had earlier been announced that all performances from the month-long festival would be made available for download exclusively on all 22 iTunes Stores. [4]

The subsequently released EP on August 11 contained songs taken from the artist's set. However, the release omitted several songs from her live set.

Hot Action Cop

Hot Action Cop is an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. They are known for their hit single "Fever for the Flava". Long Island, New York-native Rob Werthner formed the band in 2001 with bassist Luis Espaillat, drummer Kory Knipp, and guitarist Tim Flaherty, and added keyboardist Daniel Feese in 2002 prior to the tour to support their self-titled debut album. Knipp left in December 2003 but remained friends with the band, subbing in on drums when needed, and rejoined in 2011. Espaillat left in 2006 to pursue other musical ventures. Bass guitarist Juan Chavolla joined in 2008, and after playing for several years without a keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist Brian Smith, a long-time friend of Werthner's, joined in 2012.

Haunts was a British rock band based in north London. Described as 'Noirists', their musical style combined elements of punk, new wave, dance, prog rock, indie and Britpop. The Apple Music Festival was a music concert series held by Apple, Inc. inaugurated in 2007.
