The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion was an American three-piece rock band from New York City, formed in 1991. The group consisted of Judah Bauer on guitar, backing vocals, harmonica and occasional lead vocals, Russell Simins on drums and Jon Spencer on vocals, guitar and theremin. Their musical style is largely rooted in rock and roll although it draws influences from punk, blues, garage, rockabilly, soul, noise rock, rhythm and blues and hip hop.
Rachel Stamp are an English rock band formed in London in 1994. Their debut album, Hymns For Strange Children, was released in 2000, followed by Oceans of Venus two years later.
Oceans of Venus is the second album from London-based glam rockers Rachel Stamp. The album was released in 2002 on Pure Stirling Records. Preceded by Rachel Stamp's highest charting single to date, "Black Cherry", the album was met with critical acclaim from the music press and some mixed feelings from fans that wanted an album similar to the raw, glam pop of the debut, "Hymns for Strange Children". The album has also been released in Germany and in the United States of America. "Oceans of Venus" has sold over 25,000 copies in the UK alone.
Hymns for Strange Children is the début album from London-based glam rockers Rachel Stamp. It was released in 2000 on Cruisin' Records. Recorded by John Fryer in as little as two weeks, Rachel Stamp's debut album was a long time in the making. After Rachel Stamp were dropped from WEA in 1997, the original debut album, Fight the Force of Evil, was in serious doubt of ever seeing a release, but the band released a string of hit independent singles, all of which appear on this album.
Dolly Mixture were an English rock band, formed in 1978 by the bassist and vocalist Debsey Wykes, guitarist and vocalist Rachel Bor, and drummer Hester Smith. They had a taste of top 40 success performing backing vocals for the Captain Sensible hit "Wot", a top 10 hit with Sensible on "Glad It's All Over", and a UK No. 1 hit backing Sensible on his 1982 cover of "Happy Talk". Rachel Bor also featured on the Animus/Loose Records single "Wot NO Meat?" also by Captain Sensible in 1985. Bor and Wykes performed together on 24 April 2013 at the Islington Assembly Hall in London.

"Hey Hey Michael You're Really Fantastic" is a song by Rachel Stamp, released as the second single through WEA. It was released in August 1996 on three formats, CD single, Limited Edition 12" vinyl of 1000 copies and cassette. A promotional video was also made to promote the release. The song is the only Rachel Stamp track to be released twice as a single, with a limited edition live version of the song being issued in 2000 during the band's "Hymns For Strange Children Tour" of the UK.
Bring Me the Head of... Rachel Stamp EP is the first EP by British rock band Rachel Stamp. It was also their final release through major label WEA. It was released in November 1996 on three formats - CD single, Limited Edition 10" vinyl of 1000 copies and cassette. A promotional single was also issued to radio stations featuring the EP's first track, "Madonna... Cher...". Unlike previous singles, there was no promotional video made to promote the EP.

This single was the first release via the Cruisin' Records label, an independent record label set up by the band's manager, Sil Wilcox, and distributed across the UK by Pinnacle. There was no promotional video made to promote this release; however, a live video of "Spank" later appeared as a bonus multimedia track on the "Black Cherry" CD single.
"Didn't I Break My Heart Over You" is a single by London glam rock band, Rachel Stamp. This single was the band's second release via the Cruisin' Records label, and reached Number Three on the NME Independent Singles Chart in February, 2000. The single was released on two formats two weeks prior to the release of the "Hymns For Strange Children" album and featured two songs left over from the album recording sessions - "Black Tambourine" and a cover of the Warren Zevon song, "Carmelita". There was no promotional video made to promote this release.
"Monsters of the New Wave" is a single by London glam rock band, Rachel Stamp. This single was the band's final single release via the Cruisin' Records label and received the Single of the Week in Kerrang! magazine, October 2000. The single was released on two formats and a promotional video for the single was filmed by Paul Harries. The single was also released across Europe through Raw Power Records with a different track listing and artwork.
"Black Cherry" is a single by London glam rock band, Rachel Stamp. This single was the band's only single release via Pure Stirling and is the band's most successful single to date. The single was released across 2 CD Singles and a 7" Vinyl, with each release featuring exclusive B-sides. A promotional video for the single was filmed by Paul Harries and received a lot of airplay on Kerrang TV! and MTV2 in the UK.
"In the Sun" is a song by American duo She & Him, written by Zooey Deschanel for their second album, Volume Two. The song was released as the first single from the album on February 23, 2010, a full month ahead of the album. It was published on-line by Pitchfork on January 22, 2010. The duo performed the song on the Late Show with David Letterman on April 2, 2010 in promotion of their new album.
