Catherine Roseanne Dennis is a British singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. After a moderately successful international solo career, Dennis later received great success as a writer of pop songs, scoring eight UK number ones and winning five Ivor Novello Awards.

Another possible title was The Great American Cattle Drive, according to Carlin during an interview with Coast to Coast AM in 1999.

Am I the Kinda Girl? is the third album by English singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis. It was released in October 1996 in Australia, and in March 1997 in the UK. Dennis abandoned the dance-pop sound of previous releases and switched to a more traditional singer-songwriter approach. The resulting album, Am I the Kinda Girl?, was more in keeping with the Britpop sound of bands such as Blur and performers such as Stephen Duffy, and features collaborations with Guy Chambers of The Lemon Trees and Andy Partridge of XTC.

Bing Crosby recorded the song on three occasions. The first was with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra recorded on January 26, 1929 for Okeh Records.. The writer, Gary Giddins commenting on the session said "Best of all is "My Kinda Love," a flimsy song that he projects stirringly without a trace of the frangible crooning style." Crosby re-recorded the song a few weeks later on March 14, 1929 with a trio for Columbia Records and this was the first occasion that he would be top-billed on a record. In 1954, Crosby recorded the song again for his album Bing: A Musical Autobiography.

Every Face Tells a Story is a 1977 album by Cliff Richard, the follow-up to Richard's comeback album, I'm Nearly Famous. Although not quite as successful or groundbreaking, the album was a success in reaching the UK top ten. The album peaked at No.8 during a 10-week run and spawned three hit singles. The first single released from the album was "Hey Mr Dream Maker" in late 1976, followed by "My Kinda Life" and "When Two Worlds Drift Apart" in 1977.
