I Saw the Future is the 1997 debut and only album by British electronic dance music band Strike, which was formed in 1994 consisting of Matt Cantor (later of Freestylers), Andy Gardner (later of Plump DJs) and vocalist Victoria Newton. [2] It features their hit singles "U Sure Do", "My Love Is for Real" and "I Have Peace". The album peaked at number 155 on the UK Albums Chart.
British magazine Music Week rated the album four out of five, writing, "This bouncy debut album contains ail the hit singles, including U Sure Do, and some fine new tracks in an uplifting journey through house, gospel, rap and their own breakbeat style." [1]
Eurythmics were a British pop duo consisting of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. They were both previously in The Tourists, a band which broke up in 1980. The duo released their first studio album, In the Garden, in 1981 to little success, but went on to achieve global acclaim when their second album Sweet Dreams , was released in 1983. The title track became a worldwide hit, reaching #2 in the UK Singles Chart and #6 in Australia, before hitting #1 in Canada and the US Billboard Hot 100. The duo went on to release a string of hit singles and albums, including "Love Is a Stranger", "There Must Be an Angel " and "Here Comes the Rain Again", before they split up in 1990.

Their second album Takin' My Time, released in 1992, also went platinum and contained the R&B hit medley "Baby, I'm for Real/Natural High". After 7's Gold-selling 1995 album Reflections was their last album before the group disbanded in 1997. The album included the R&B hit "'Til You Do Me Right. Years later the group resumed touring with Jason Edmonds, son of Melvin Edmonds, replacing his father. Melvin rejoined the group for their successful 2016 comeback album Timeless, which featured 3 adult R&B top 10 hits "Runnin' Out", "I Want You" and "Let Me Know".

In 1997, it was featured on the group's only album, I Saw the Future. The song was a big UK club hit and after receiving regular play in clubs throughout 1994/1995 it was re-released and re-entered the chart in April 1995, reaching number four. It also peaked at number-one on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The track samples Donna Allen's 1986 song "Serious" for the vocal, and Cubic 22's 1991 song "Night in Motion" for the main synth. In 1999, it was remixed and released as "U Sure Do '99". This version peaked at number 53 in the UK. In 2006, it was remixed a third time and released to a handful of DJs solely for club use. MTV Dance ranked the song number 45 in their list of 'The 100 Biggest 90's Dance Anthems of All Time' in 2011.

The song is the band's second highest charting hit, peaking at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. Additionally, it was a top 30 hit in Scotland and a top 40 hit in Switzerland. The original version contains a sample of the 1985 song "Leaving Me Now" by Level 42. A music video was also produced to promote the single.
