"I Wanna Love You" is a song by American girl group Jade, [1] released in September 1992 by Giant Records as the debut single from their first album, Jade to the Max (1992). [2] The song was written by Vassal Benford and Ronald Spearman, and produced by Benford. It was also included on the soundtrack to the 1992 film Class Act , starring Kid 'n Play.
Alan Jones from Music Week gave the song three out of five, writing that "this belated follow-up [to "Don't Walk Away"] is less compulsive, but an attractive confection nonetheless. A good radio record, with middling chart potential." [3]
