Iconoclast is the second studio album by Australian black metal band Nazxul. The album, released through Moribund Records, [2] was the band's first studio release in more than a decade, [3] as their Black Seed EP was released in 1998.

Full of Hell is the debut studio album by American sludge metal band Howl, released through Relapse Records on May 11, 2010. After signing a recording contract with Relapse Records in May 2009, Howl re-released their self-titled EP, Howl, on July 21, 2009. To promote the EP, the band toured East Coast between August and October 2009, while worked composing new songs. The band recorded Full of Hell at Machine with Magnets Studios in Pawtucket, Rhode Island with engineers Keith Souza and Seth Manchester in late December 2009. Upon finished work, guitarist and lead vocalist Vincent Hausman told Noisecreep: "The new album is, if anything, more extreme than the EP, moving from aggression to slow doom metal, through both black metal atmospheres and blues-based harmonies. Quantum Catastrophe is the second studio album by American technical death metal band Brain Drill, released through Metal Blade on May 11, 2010. After the release of their debut album Apocalyptic Feasting in February 2008, the band almost broke up with the departure of drummer Marco Pitruzzella and bassist Jeff Hughell in March 2008. The remaining members, guitarist Dylan Ruskin and vocalist Steve Rathjen decided to continue with the band, and from May to September 2008, auditioned for bassists and drummers. In September 2008, the band announced drummer Joe Bondra and bassist Ivan Munguia as replacements. Bondra was replaced by drummer Ron Casey and this new lineup began work on the album in August 2009. Quantum Catastrophe was recorded between December 2009 and January 2010 at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, California with co-producer Zach Ohren, who also engineered and mastered the album along with the band. It is the only album to feature bassist Ivan Munguia and drummer Ron Casey. It is also the last album to feature vocalist Steve Rathjen

Astriaal are an Australian black metal band that formed in 1998, and are one of Australia's highest-profile black metal bands. The band have so far released 2 full-length albums and 3 EPs, and have supported well-known international acts such as Mayhem, Arcturus, Suffocation, Nile, Deeds of Flesh, Opeth and Pungent Stench. Astriaal's lyrics deal with Abyssal Theology, Nature and Misanthropy.
