Ida Elise Broch (born 25 June 1987) is a Norwegian actress. She is the half-sister of Nicolai Cleve Broch [1] and Christian Cleve Broch. Broch played Catherine in the film The Man Who Loved Yngve and had a starring role in the film Switch . [2] She had a featured role in season 3 of the Netflix series Lilyhammer [3] and starred in the Norwegian TV series The Third Eye , where she played police detective Mari Friis. [4] She has also starred in two Netflix festive-themed series, Home for Christmas [5] and A Storm for Christmas, as the lead role and as part of an ensemble cast respectively.

Education

Broch has performed in plays since elementary school and studied drama at Hartvig Nissen School and Romerike Folk High School. She left school in the spring of 2007 in order to begin filming The Man Who Loved Yngve [6] and joined the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in the autumn of 2008.

The Man Who Loved Yngve is a Norwegian film released on 15 February 2008. It is based on a book of the same name by Stavanger author Tore Renberg. He is also known for playing the protagonist in Buddy, a romantic comedy from 2003. Other major film credits include Uno, Uro and Den siste revejakta. More recently, Cleve Broch was nominated for an Amanda Award for his portrayal of World War II resistance fighter Gregers Gram in Max Manus. Often appearing alongside Aksel Hennie, the two have been referred to as "Norway's Ben Affleck and Matt Damon".

Fenris is a Norwegian TV crime drama series. It was broadcast on network Multi and streamed on Viaplay from 25 September 2022. Its six episodes were directed by Simen Alsvik, created by Alsvik with Magnus Monn-Iversen, and written by Alsvik, Maren Skolem and Nikolaj Scherfig. Fenris was filmed in Folldal, Nord-Østerdal during September 2021, and is set in Østbygda, Innlandet county near Norway's border with Sweden. It depicts struggles between conservationists protecting wild wolves and farmers and shooters, who agitate for open culling.
