It aired on Fox from June 11, 2002, to April 7, 2016, for 15 seasons. It was on hiatus for two years until March 11, 2018, when a revival of the series began airing on ABC.

The ninth season of American Idol premiered on Fox on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, and concluded on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. The 4th season of Indonesian Idol premiered on RCTI on March 30, 2007 and concluded on July 28, 2007. Daniel Mananta and Ata continued to host the show. On the workshop round plus the first two spectacular show, Daniel hosted the show alone due to Ata's pregnancy. Ata started joining Daniel back hosting the show on the third spectacular show. Additionally, Nirina Zubir and Indra Bekti were also announced as the hosts of Idol Banget, a behind-the-scenes show of Indonesian Idol.
Idols South Africa VI is the sixth season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It premiered on 18 July 2010. For the first time Dave Thompson was not a member of the judging panel. The remaining three judges all returned and were supported by a guest judge in every casting city: Zolani in Cape Town, Kahn Morebee in Johannesburg, Steve Hofmeyr in Durban, HHP in Port Elizabeth, and Loyiso in Bloemfontein.
The seventh season of Indonesian Idol premiered on RCTI on February 17, 2012. The show aired every Friday at 8:00 pm and Re-run aired every Sunday at 1:00 pm. Daniel Mananta returned as the host, while Anang Hermansyah and Agnes Monica returned as the judges, and musician and hits-maker Ahmad Dhani replaced Erwin Gutawa as the third judges. Universal Music Indonesia replaced Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia as Idol's official partner record label. Cross Mobile, Coolant, Honda and Mie Sedaap, were the official sponsors of the show. This season followed the same format as American Idol season 11 and used the new title screen & logo with a different font started from Spectacular round.
X-Factor is the Armenian version of The X Factor, a show originating in the United Kingdom. It is a televised music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions in Armenia and the Armenian diaspora. The show in its inaugural year was broadcast on the Armenian Shant TV station, the same station that broadcasts the Armenian Idol series Hay Superstar.

The X Factor, also known as The X Factor USA, is an American reality television music competition show created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia North America and SYCOtv, a partnership between Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment, which aired on Fox. Based on the original British show, and an addition to The X Factor franchise, the series found new singing talent, drawn from public auditions, and they competed against each other for votes. The winners were determined by the show's viewers via telephone, the Internet, and SMS text voting, and were awarded a recording contract with Cowell's record label Syco Music, worth $5 million in seasons one and two, and $1 million in season three. America voted for the following winners: Melanie Amaro, Tate Stevens, and Alex & Sierra, respectively.
Ellona Rano Santiago is a Filipino-born American singer from San Lorenzo, California. She was a contestant on American television show The X Factor. In season 1, she was a part of the ten-member group InTENsity mentored by Paula Abdul which were the first contestant eliminated. Santiago returned in season 3, where she was mentored by Demi Lovato and was the eighth contestant eliminated.
The eighth season of Indonesian Idol, also known as Indonesian Idol 2014: A Decade of Dreams, premiered on RCTI on December 27, 2013. Anang Hermansyah and Ahmad Dhani returned as the judges. Agnes Monica was replaced by Tantri of Kotak, and Titi DJ, who returned to the show for her sixth season after her absence in season 6 and 7. Raisa and Indra Lesmana replace Titi and Anang during the Yogyakarta auditions. Later during the Spectacular weeks, Raisa replaced Titi during the Top 9 performances and Tantri during the Top 5. Indra replaced Tantri during the Top 8 performances. Daniel Mananta returns as the host.
The third season of the American music competition television show The X Factor premiered on Fox on September 11, 2013, and ended on December 19, 2013. This season was hosted by Mario Lopez. Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato returned to the judging panel, while Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio joined the panel as replacements for the departing judges.
X Factor Indonesia is an Indonesian television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a 1 billion rupiahs recording contract with Sony Music Indonesia. The second season aired on 3 April 2015 and is produced by RCTI in-house production and Fremantle Media Indonesia led by Fabian Dharmawan, RCTI's head of production, together with FM's SVP content and production, Glenn Sims. Robby Purba resumes his role as the host of the show alongside returning judges Ahmad Dhani, Rossa, and Bebi Romeo, while Anggun is replaced by Afgan due to her new commitment as a judge for Asia's Got Talent.
The first season of Pakistan Idol premiered on Geo on 6 December 2013 and continued until 24 April 2014. It was won by Zamad Baig. The first season was hosted by Mohib Mirza, while Anoushey Ashraf joined in semi-finals and also hosted the spin-off show Pakistan Idol-Sur Ka Safar.
The second season of the reality singing television competition Idol Philippines aired on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5 from June 25 to September 18, 2022. It replaced My Papa Pi and Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 and was succeeded by the second season of Everybody, Sing!. This was the first season not to air on ABS-CBN after the network was ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida to cease its free-to-air television and radio broadcast operations on May 5, 2020, following the expiration of its congressional franchise.
