Seamus Rawles Malliagh, known by his recording alias Iglooghost, is an English electronic music producer and songwriter based in London. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Career

Malliagh released a cassette in 2014 titled Treetunnels on Error Broadcast. [5] In 2015, he released his second EP titled Chinese Nü Yr on Brainfeeder. [6] [7] He also released in that same year a collaborative EP with Mr. Yote titled Milk Empire through Activia Benz. [8] In March 2016, he released his third EP titled Little Grids, again on Brainfeeder, [9] [10] and in September 2017 he released his album Neō Wax Bloom , also on Brainfeeder. [11] [12] [13]

On 4 February 2021 Iglooghost announced the oncoming release of his second album, Lei Line Eon , which was released on 2 April alongside the release of the album's lead single, "Sylph Fossil". [14] [15] As of 27 May 2024 Iglooghost has over 111,000 active monthly listeners on Spotify, and over 30,400 subscribers on YouTube.

On 15 March 2024 Iglooghost announced his third album named Tidal Memory Exo , which was released on 10 May 2024 via LuckyMe, and also released the lead single "Coral Mimic" on streaming services. [16] [17]

He is predominantly known for his role as the vocalist of Exo. <i>Chinese Nü Yr</i> 2015 EP by Iglooghost

Chinese Nü Yr is an extended play (EP) by producer Seamus Malliagh, known by his stage name Iglooghost, released on the Brainfeeder label on 30 October 2015. Containing elements of footwork, bass, grime and 2-step garage, the EP's sound is represented by a worm who goes through several nonsensical lands. To make Chinese Nü Yr, Malliagh first designed the cover art and then developed songs with structures and sound to fit the artwork. Upon release, the EP garnered generally favorable reviews from critics, a common praise being its unique style.

NCT 127 is the first fixed and second overall sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They originally debuted on July 7, 2016, with their debut extended play NCT#127, with an original lineup of seven members: Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, and Haechan. Characterised by complex and energetic song structures, Neō Wax Bloom is a maximalist album which "dismantle[s] any notion of genre before putting the pieces back together in [its] own unique way". The album peaked at number nine on Billboard's American Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart, and received generally positive critical reception upon initial release.
