Igor Kuzmin (born 23 November 1982) is an Estonian rower. He is a member of rowing club "SK Narva Energia" located in Narva.
Kuzmin was born in Narva. In 2000 Kuzmin competed in the World Rowing Junior Championships in the single sculls event, finishing in 12th position. In 2002 he competed in the U-23 World Regatta with Andrei Jämsä in the double sculls event, finishing in 7th position.
His first appearance in the Olympic Games was in Athens 2004, where he competed in the quadruple sculls event with Andrei Jämsä, Andrei Šilin and Oleg Vinogradov earning 9th position overall.
Kuzmin's second appearance at the Olympics was in Beijing 2008 where he competed in the quadruple sculls event with Allar Raja, Vladimir Latin and Kaspar Taimsoo. The men were 4th in their preliminary heat and won the repechage. In the semifinals they finished fourth and did not get to Final A. The final place was 9th as they finished third in Final B.
Kuzmin debuted in the World Rowing Championships in 2002 in Seville, Spain, he was a member of the quadruple sculls team with Tõnu Endrekson, Andrei Šilin, and Silver Sonntak. They won the Final B and earned 7th place.
2003 in Milan, Italy he competed in the double sculls event with Jämsä, earning 9th position overall.
Kuzmin won his first World Championships medal in 2006 in Eton, Great Britain in the quadruple sculls event with Jämsä, Endrekson and Allar Raja.
2007 in Munich, Germany he competed in the quadruple sculls event with Raja, Vladimir Latin and Kaspar Taimsoo earning 8th position.
2009 in Poznań, Poland ha was again a part of the Estonia's quadruple sculls team, this time together with Andrei Jämsä, Tõnu Endrekson and Vladimir Latin. The team achieved 10th position overall.
2007 in Poznań, Poland he competed in the quadruple sculls event with Raja, Latin and Taimsoo earning 5th position.
2009 in Brest, Belarus he was a member of the quadruple sculls team with Valeri Prosvirin, Tõnu Endrekson and Andrei Jämsä. They earned 8th place.
2010 in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal Kuzmin, Prosvirin, Jämsä and Latin were 8th once more.

These are the results of the men's quadruple sculls competition in rowing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. It was one of eight events in men's rowing that was held.
Rowing has been part of the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1900 Games. Rowing was on the program at the 1896 Summer Olympics but was cancelled due to bad weather. Only men were allowed to compete until the women's events were introduced at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal which gave national federations the incentive to support women's events and catalysed growth in women's rowing. Lightweight rowing events were introduced to the games in 1996. Qualifying for the rowing events is under the jurisdiction of the World Rowing Federation. World Rowing predates the modern Olympics and was the first international sport federation to join the modern Olympic movement.
Jüri Jaanson is the most successful Estonian rower of all time and the winner of five medals at World Rowing Championships. He became World Champion in Tasmania 1990 in the single sculls event. 14 years later, at age 38 he won an Olympic silver medal in the single sculls event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. In Beijing 2008 he won his second Olympic silver medal, this time in the double sculls event with Tõnu Endrekson and became Estonia's oldest Olympic medal winner with the age of 42 years, 10 months and two days. He is a member of the SK Pärnu rowing club located in Pärnu. In 2007, Jaanson became the oldest rower ever to win a World Cup event at the age of 41 in Amsterdam.

Estonia first competed as a nation at the 1920 Summer Olympics, two years after the country declared independence from the then warring Russian and German Empires in 1918. The Estonian National Olympic Committee was established in 1923. The first Winter Olympics for independent Estonia were the 1928 Winter Olympics. He was fourth in the double sculls event with Leonid Gulov at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and won a silver medal in 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the double sculls event with Jüri Jaanson. He is a member of rowing club "Pärnu Sõudeklubi" located in Pärnu.
Allar Raja is an Estonian rower. He is a member of rowing club "SK Kalev" located in Pärnu.
Andrei Jämsä is an Estonian rower. Due to a back injury he could not compete in 2007. He is a member of rowing club "Pärnu Sõudeklubi" located in Pärnu.
Leonid Gulov is a retired Estonian rower. He was fourth in the double sculls event with Tõnu Endrekson at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is a member of rowing club "SK Narva Energia" located in Narva.
Kaspar Taimsoo is an Estonian rower. He is a four time Olympian and four time European champion. He is a member of Viljandi Rowing Club.

Carina Bär is a German rower. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she competed in the women's quadruple sculls competition in which the German team won the gold medal. She had previous won the silver medal in the same event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Joanna Leszczyńska is a Polish rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's quadruple sculls. She won bronze medal in quadruple sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, with Maria Springwald, Agnieszka Kobus and Monika Ciaciuch. That was also the team that won silver at the 2016 European Championships and bronze at the 2015 European Championships on home water in Poznan.
