Igor Musatov (born September 23, 1987) is a Russian former professional ice hockey winger. He last played for Slovakian club, HC Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). [1]

Personal life

On June 8, 2013, Musatov wed two-time Olympic Gold medalist Rhythmic gymnast Evgenia Kanaeva.[ citation needed ] However, the pair has since divorced due to Igor’s alcoholic problems and violent outburst when drunk, which caused a deep strain into the pair’s marriage.

In September 2019 he was arrested in Moscow and charged with Bitcoin fraud worth 800.000$. [2] On November 2, 2020 he was sentenced to four years in a corrective labor colony by the Presnensky district court. He continued to deny the allegations. [3] Musatov was released on parole on October 19, 2021. [4]

The season began with the Opening Cup on 1 September 2019, and the regular championship ran until 27 February 2020. The playoffs were scheduled to take place from 1 March through until 30 April. The All-Star Weekend took place over 18–19 January 2020.
