Ill Al Skratch (also known as Brooklyn/Uptown Connection) is a hip hop duo consisting of two rappers, Big Ill from Brooklyn and Al Skratch from Harlem (Uptown). They are best known for their 1994 single, "I'll Take Her".
The duo's first appearance on record was their 1994 single named "Where My Homiez? (Come Around My Way)." This song failed to reach the Billboard Hot 100, but charted on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. Ill Al Skratch soon released a follow-up single named "I'll Take Her." This song featured R&B musician Brian McKnight and reached #62 on the Billboard Hot 100. Soon after releasing their first two singles, they released Creep Wit' Me to minor critical acclaim. It also managed to reach the Billboard 200 and spawned a third single, "Chill With That."
Ill Al Skratch collaborated with various artists including Michael Jackson, Gina Thompson and Shaquille O'Neal from 1995 to 1996. Their works also appeared on the soundtracks of movies including New Jersey Drive and Panther . In 1997, they released Keep It Movin', an album that received little commercial success and critical attention. They have not recorded any music since their 1997 album, but their songs have appeared on compilations including 1998's Hip Hop with R&B Flava.
In 2012, Ill Al Skratch began releasing new music as B.U.C. (Brooklyn/Uptown Connection).

Jodeci is an American R&B quartet consisting of members DeVanté Swing, Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci, and JoJo. Formed in 1988 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jodeci began as a duo of DeVanté Swing and JoJo but later each added their brothers. After signing with Uptown Records in 1990, the group finished work on their debut album, Forever My Lady (1991), which brought them mainstream success with three straight Billboard R&B No. 1 hit singles: the album's titular track, "Stay" and "Come and Talk to Me".
Anthony Cruz, better known by his stage name AZ, is an American rapper. Best known for his affiliation with hometown native and fellow East Coast rapper Nas, they formed the New York City-based hip hop group the Firm along with Foxy Brown, Cormega and Nature in 1996. Cruz first saw recognition for his guest appearance on Nas' 1994 single "Life's a Bitch", from his album Illmatic (1994). Cruz was then signed by EMI to release his debut studio album, Doe or Die (1995), which was met with critical acclaim. Its lead single, "Sugar Hill" peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Moreover, The Firm's sole album (1997) peaked atop the Billboard 200 chart despite unfavorable critical response; the group disbanded two years later.
Jermaine Dupri Mauldin is an American record producer, rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive. Raised in Atlanta as the son of Columbia Records executive Michael Mauldin, he began his career in music production at the age of nine. He discovered the teen hip hop duo Kris Kross in 1991. Dupri wrote and produced their 1992 single "Jump," which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was named the 23rd most successful song of that decade. He established his own record label, So So Def Recordings in a joint venture with Columbia the following year.

112 is an American R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia. Discovered by record production duo Tim & Bob, the group signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records, an imprint of Arista Records to release their eponymous debut studio album (1996). The following year, they guest performed alongside labelmate Faith Evans on Puff Daddy's 1997 single "I'll Be Missing You," which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group and became the first hip hop song to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100. The group then released their second and third albums Room 112 (1998) and Part III (2001); the latter peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Creep Wit' Me is the debut album by East Coast hip hop duo Ill Al Skratch. It was released on August 2, 1994 by Mercury Records. It features slow and smooth production from The LG Experience and LoRider, as well as light party rhymes. It was Ill Al Skratch's most commercially successful album peaking at #137 on the Billboard 200. Nonetheless, Al Skratch blames its lack of more success on poor distribution by Mercury Records. It contains three singles: "Where My Homiez? ," "I'll Take Her" and "Chill with That." The first of the three was an underground hit that managed to reach #34 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. It was followed by "I'll Take Her," a single that featured R&B singer Brian McKnight and reached the Billboard Hot 100. It was followed by the last and least commercially successful of the three singles, "Chill with That."

The Trackmasters, also known as Poke & Tone, is an American hip hop production outfit composed of Poke and Tone. Active from the mid-late 1980s to the early 2000s, the group was more often known as a duo, Poke & Tone; it was joined by now-former members Frank "Nitty" Pimentel, Alex Richberg and Curt Gowdy to form Trackmasters. Throughout their career, they have been credited on albums and singles for hip hop and R&B artists including Destiny's Child, Nas, R. Kelly, LL Cool J, Mary J.
