Imam Prasodjo is an Indonesian social scientist and academic. [1] He is currently a professor at the Department of Social and Political Science at the University of Indonesia. [2] He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Indonesia, his master's degree from Kansas State University, and his doctorate from Brown University. [2]

Prasodjo has also been noted as a social activist. He has advocated for Indonesians to learn foreign languages despite fears that doing so would be unpatriotic, suggesting instead that Indonesia strives for more development in science and technology so other countries will also learn Indonesian. [3] He was also responsible for social mapping of Jakarta's child-friendly integrated public spaces, publicly cautioning against former governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's restriction of local residents from participation in management decisions regarding the spaces. [4]

Du Bois Library is one of the three libraries of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Amherst, Massachusetts, the others being the Science and Engineering Library, and the Wadsworth Library at the Mount Ida Campus. The W. E. B. Du Bois Library holds resources primarily in humanities and social and behavioral sciences. The building is so large that it maintains a security force, which is managed by various supervisors and student employees.

Ali Sadikin, better known as Bang Ali, was an Indonesian politician who served as the fourth governor of Jakarta from 1966 until 1977. Prior to becoming governor, he served as Minister of Transportation from 1963 until 1966 and Coordinating Minister for Marine Affairs from 1964 until 1966. He also served as Chairman of the Football Association of Indonesia from 1977 until 1981. Born to parents of ethnic-Sundanese descent, Ali attended the Semarang Shipping Science Polytechnic during the Japanese occupation period. During the Indonesian National Revolution, he joined the People's Security Agency Navy, the predecessor to the Indonesian Navy, and fought against the Dutch during Operation Product and Operation Kraai. Djarot Saiful Hidayat is an Indonesian politician who is currently a member of the People's Representative Council. He was the governor of Jakarta, in office between 15 June and 15 October 2017 after being acting governor since 9 May. He replaced his predecessor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama when the latter was found guilty of blasphemy against Islam. He was appointed by Basuki as Deputy Governor in 2014 to fill the gap left by the election of Joko Widodo as president.

Edi Sedyawati binti Iman Sudjahri was an Indonesian archeologist and historian. She was a professor of archeology at the University of Indonesia, Chairperson of the university's Department of Javanese Letters and Center for Humanities and Social Sciences and also Chair of the Department of Dance at the Jakarta Institute for Arts. She also served as Indonesia's Director General of Culture in the Ministry of Education and Culture from 1993 to 1999.

Miriam Budiardjo was an Indonesian political scientist and diplomat. Budiardjo was Deputy Chair of the Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights, and she has been credited with co-founding the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Indonesia, of which she was Dean for 5 years. She was the first woman to serve as a diplomat for Indonesia, which she represented in several countries including in India and the United States.
