Indah Putri Indriani is an Indonesian politician and the current regent of North Luwu Regency. [1] She was also the deputy regent of North Luwu from 2010 to 2015. [2]
During her tenure as deputy regent,Vice Governor Agus Arifin Nu'mang presented Indriani with the Fajar Institute of Pro Otonomi Award for excellence in public participation following her innovations using the USAID-supported Kinerja program. [3] Her work with the program has continued into her tenure as regent due to her devotion to the issue of education equality as well as her efforts to make regency budgeting data publicly available to all citizens. [4] Her interest in educational policy began when she attempted to transfer a teacher between regional schools,leading the woman to threaten her at gunpoint;Indriani claims the confrontation made her realize that people affected by decisions must be involved in making them. [4]
Prior to politics,Indriani was active in academia. She graduated in political science at Universitas Indonesia and lectured there for a time, [4] as well as at Bung Karno University and the university of Muhammadiyah in Jakarta. [5]
South Sulawesi is a province in the southern peninsula of Sulawesi,Indonesia. The Selayar Islands archipelago to the south of Sulawesi is also part of the province. East Luwu Regency is the most easterly of the twenty-one regencies in South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The regency was created on 25 February 2003 by separation of the eastern districts from North Luwu Regency. It covers a land area of 6,747.93 km2. The administrative capital of the regency is the coastal town of Malili on the Bay of Usu,itself an inlet in the northeast corner of the Gulf of Bone;the town,with its port of Balantang,is the shipping port for one of the world's major nickel-producing plants. The population of the Regency was 243,069 at the 2010 Census and 296,741 at the 2020 Census;the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 313,404.
Luwu Regency is a regency of South Sulawesi Province,Indonesia. The northern districts of the original regency were split off on 20 April 1999 to form a separate North Luwu Regency,and the former capital (Palopo) was split off to become an independent municipality (city) on 10 April 2002. The residual Luwu Regency now covers a land area of 3,000.25 km2 and had a population of 287,472 at the 2010 census and 365,608 at the 2020 census. The official estimate as at mid 2023 was 380,679. The administrative capital now lies at Belopa.

Taeʼ is a language spoken in South Sulawesi,Indonesia. It belongs to the Austronesian language family and is one of the languages of the ten tribes that inhabit the Tana Luwu region of South Sulawesi. The Taeʼlanguage is used by most of the inhabitants of the three regencies of Tana Luwu,and the city of Palopo. Taeʼis part of the South Sulawesi group of languages. It is closely related to Toraja,and more distantly to Mandar,Massenrempulu,and Mamuju. Taeʼis used as a lingua franca from south of the border with Buriko Wajo Regency to Malili East Luwu Regency,as well as in Tana Toraja and Massenrempulu.
The Pamona people is an ethnic group of Indonesia. They inhabit almost the entire Poso Regency,parts of Tojo Una-Una Regency and parts of North Morowali Regency,Central Sulawesi;in fact there are some even in East Luwu Regency of South Sulawesi,whereas a small remainder lives in other parts of Indonesia. The ancestors of the Pamona people originally came from the land of Salu Moge because they were once from the mountains which is far from the central governance thus they were brought down by Macoa Bawalipu of Wotu,East Luwu Regency to be nearer to the central governance,which is the surrounding region of Mangkutana. But it was until a revolt by the DI/TII rebellion broke out that they spread to Central Sulawesi and to other regions. If there are Pamona people in certain regions,then it is common that a Rukun Poso is formed there,which serves as a means of a group of people from a common ethnic background to engage in various activities within the region. Almost all of the Pamona people practices Christianity. Christianity came into the region at the end of the 19 century and until today it is widely accepted as the religion of the people. Today,all churches of common denomination are grouped under the Central Sulawesi Christian Church headquartered in Tentena,Poso Regency,Central Sulawesi,Indonesia. A large part of the common folk uses Pamona and Indonesian language that is mixed with the local slang. The Pamona people are usually farmers,government officials,pastors,entrepreneurs and so on.
The 2018 South Sulawesi Gubernatorial Election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of South Sulawesi along with their deputy,whilst members of the provincial council will be re-elected in 2019.

Kalatiku Paembonan was an Indonesian politician,bureaucrat,and lecturer who served as the Regent of North Toraja from 2016 to 2021. Before entering politics,Kalatiku worked in the Department of Home Affairs and held several high-ranking positions in the Department. He then became a lecturer at the Institute of Public Governance before resigning to stand in the North Toraja regency election.
