The Independent Labour was a political party in the Isle of Man.
At the 2001 election for the House of Keys, Independent Labour polled 1.0% and won no seats. It was linked to the UK's Independent Labour Network, founded in 1998 by Ken Coates and Hugh Kerr.
They are no longer active however, having died out in 2002 in the Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man, also known as Mann, is an island nation and self-governing British Crown Dependency in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. The head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, holds the title Lord of Mann and is represented by a Lieutenant Governor. The United Kingdom is responsible for the isle's military defence.
The government of the Isle of Man is a parliamentary representative democracy. As a Crown Dependency, it is not subordinate to the government of the United Kingdom. That government, however, is responsible for defence and external affairs and could intervene in the domestic affairs of the island under its residual responsibilities to guarantee "good government" in all Crown dependencies. The Monarch of the United Kingdom is also the head of state of the Isle of Man, and generally referred to as "The Queen, Lord of Mann". Legislation of the Isle of Man defines "the Crown in right of the Isle of Man" as separate from the "Crown in right of the United Kingdom". Her representative on the island is the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man, but his role is mostly ceremonial, though he does have the power to grant Royal Assent.
The Manx Labour Party is a political party on the Isle of Man that was founded in 1918.
The Manx People's Political Association (MPPA) was a political party active in the Isle of Man. They first contested elections in the 1946 election to the House of Keys. They were formed as a conservative and anti-socialist alternative to the Manx Labour Party which was running a high-profile electoral campaign and had hopes of emulating the British Labour Party's success in the previous year's United Kingdom general election. They were similar in many ways to the previous National Party that had been active in Manx politics.
The Isle of Wight Council is a unitary authority covering the Isle of Wight, an island in the south of England. It is currently made up of 39 seats. Since the 2021 election, there has been an 'Alliance' coalition administration of Independents, the Green Party, Island Independent Network, and Our Island councillors, who together with the Liberal Democrat and Vectis Party councillors voted to elect Independent Lora Peacey-Wilcox as leader of the council, with the Labour councillor being absent. The Conservative group is the principal opposition party, and the single councillors from Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Vectis Party also sit outside the Alliance group.
The Orkney and Shetland Movement was an electoral coalition formed for the 1987 general election. The pro-devolution Orkney Movement and Shetland Movement agreed on selecting John Goodlad, the secretary of the Shetland Fishermen's Association, as a joint candidate for the Orkney and Shetland constituency. The Scottish National Party agreed to stand aside in favour of the coalition.
The Manx are an ethnic group originating on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea in northern Europe. Their native culture has significant Norse, Gaelic and English influences. The Manx language descends from Middle Irish.

The Liberal Vannin Party is a political party in the Isle of Man. It was founded in 2006 by Peter Karran, then an Independent MHK for Onchan. Karran had been, until 2004, a member of the Manx Labour Party. The "Vannin" in the party name is a form of the name of the Isle of Man in the native Manx Gaelic language, while "Liberal" is a reference to the general political position of the party. The party is currently led by Lawrie Hooper MHK.
A general election was held on Thursday, 23 November 2006 on the Isle of Man. The voting age was lowered to 16 at this election. As usual, the election was dominated by independents, who took 21 of the 24 seats.
The Isle of Man Information Commissioner is the national data protection authority for the Isle of Man under the Data Protection Act 2002. The office was originally created as the Isle of Man Data Protection Registrar by the Data Protection Act 1986. The present holder is Mr Iain McDonald, who is in his fourth 5-year term, having been initially appointed in January 2003. The Office is funded by the Treasury, but is independent of the Isle of Man Government.

Walter Clucas Craine was a politician and trade unionist from the Isle of Man. He was a long-time Member of the House of Keys and the first Labour mayor of Douglas. Outside politics he worked as a baker, commercial traveller and insurance agent.

The 2008 Isle of Anglesey Council election took place on Thursday 1 May 2008 to elect members of the Isle of Anglesey County Council in Wales. This was the same day as other United Kingdom local elections. The previous full council election was on 10 June 2004 and the next full council election was held on 2 May 2013.

Elections to Isle of Wight Council took place on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. These were held at the same time as the elections for the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner. The elections saw the Conservatives lose control of the council, losing seats against the national trend for the party.
