Individual (stylized in all caps) is the debut extended play (EP) by American duo Niki & Gabi, released independently on July 27, 2018. The EP features six original tracks composed and produced by Lyre, most of which have a EDM pop sound. [1] [2] The EP charted at No. 14 on the Heatseekers Albums chart and No. 32 on the Independent Albums chart.
Twin sisters Niki and Gabi started their career in 2010 following the creation of their YouTube channel, 00RemakeGirls. [3] Besides the comedy skits that were posted on that channel, the duo also posted covers of songs, and performed in several concerts. [3] They talked about their plans of releasing an album in the future. [4]
In 2016, the duo began working on their first extended play, and it was announced in 2017 that they would be releasing a five-track EP in November. [5] [6] The lead single "R U" was released in August 2017. [5] "Sleep It Off" was released as the EP's second single in June 2018. [7] In an interview with Post Magazine , director Aaron Grasso talked about working on five music videos with Niki and Gabi, including "Sleep It Off" and "Let It Roar". [8]
The double singles "Let It Roar" and "Flowers" were released in July. [9] The song "Let It Roar" served as Niki's debut solo single, and its music video was released on July 20. [10] "Flowers" was a follow-up to Gabi's 2016 debut single "Ever After". Its music video was released on July 25, and it featured a guest appearance from American media personality Paris Hilton. [11]
In December 2017, Lyre shared a photo of Niki & Gabi on their Instagram account, revealing that their EP would be released in 2018. An acoustic version of "R U" has been performed at SweetyHigh, [12] Popmania [13] and What's Trending . [14] It has also been performed live at the 2019 Streamy Awards. [15] [16] In 2021, Niki invited Gabi to perform "R U" at her Gramercy Theatre concert. [17] It has also been included as a solo song in the setlist of Niki's 2022 Pink Kink & Punk Tour, in which she co-headlined with Kelsy Karter. [18] "R U" was featured in the 2018 film Life Size 2 .
Niki & Gabi appeared on Genius ' series 'Verified' and broke down the lyrics to "Make It Sting". [19] In December 2018, Niki performed "Let It Roar", "Anthem for the Judged" and a solo version of "Make It Sting" live at Billboard. [20] The songs "Out From Under You" and "Make It Sting" both received lyric videos. Following the cancellation of the Individual Tour, Niki & Gabi held a live concert at iPlay America in December 2018 to promote and perform songs from the EP, as well as other several solo songs. Veruca Salt is an American alternative rock band founded in Chicago in 1992 by vocalist-guitarists Nina Gordon and Louise Post, drummer Jim Shapiro, and bassist Steve Lack. They are best known for their first single, "Seether", which was released on the 1994 album American Thighs. That success was followed up with 1997's Eight Arms to Hold You. By 1998, Post was the only original member still in the band and continued on with other musicians. Veruca Salt released the album Resolver in 2000 and the album IV in 2006. After a hiatus in 2012, the band reformed with its original lineup. Their fifth studio album, Ghost Notes, was released in 2015.

"Hands" is a song by English duo The Ting Tings. It was written by both Katie White and Jules De Martino and mixed by label-mate Calvin Harris. The single was released to radio airplay on 18 August 2010 after premiering on the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1 at 9:30 pm; a remix was also released for free via digital download on 11 October 2010 on the band's Facebook page. The song was performed at the Wireless Festival, as part of the setlist; they were joined with dancers holding signs, saying work, which when flipped around, would say dance. The song debuted at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. The line spoken by De Martino at the start of the song, "I don't want to go out. I want to stay in." is a reference to the first lines spoken in the David Bowie song "Modern Love", 'I know when to stay out, I know when to stay in and get things done.'

The track was written by Audra Mae, Meghan Kabir and its producer Jerrod Bettis. Mitch Allan helped Bettis on the production and produced the vocals while Dan Book served as an additional vocal producer. The song was released by Hollywood Records as the second single from Eyes Wide Open, being able to purchase a week before the album's release on April 7, 2015. "Eyes Wide Open" is a midtempo pop rock and power pop song backed by catchy background vocals, a piano and a simple bass beat. In the song, Carpenter talks about finding who she is and finding her path. According to Carpenter, the song is her favorite on the album.

The9th Annual Streamy Awards was the ninth installment of the Streamy Awards honoring the best in American streaming television series and their creators. The awards was split into three sections with different themes: the main Streamy Awards, the second annual Streamys Brand Awards, and the Third Annual Streamys Purpose Awards. The main ceremony was streamed live on YouTube from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on December 13, 2019. It was the first Streamy Awards ceremony to run without a host, instead featuring segments from online content creators to highlight the diversity of the industry. Niki and Gabi Take Bahamas is an American reality web series. It premiered on AwesomenessTV on April 18, 2020, starring American acting and singing duo Niki and Gabi and follows their trip to the Bahamas. It is the fifth season of Niki and Gabi Spring Break that originally premiered in 2017.
