The Indonesian Dangdut Awards are annual Indonesian awards that are presented by Indosiar television station, which recognize popularity in the music industry dangdut genre. The annual show was first held on June 11, 2014. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest.

Ceremonies

The inaugural ceremony in 2014 was held at the Teater Tanah Airku, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah on the East Jakarta. In 2015, the Studio 5 Indosiar in West Jakarta hosted the awards. The ceremony was moved to the Studio 6 Emtek City at West Jakarta Live in 2016.

History

This award was created the first time by Indosiar because of the success of the program D'Academy is a talent search dangdut song competition. The show also has successfully published a best dangdut singer. Finally, in 2014, Indosiar created the program Indonesian Dangdut Awards, the first night, judges and the graduated from talent search competition to enliven the event, and other top dangdut singer. The event is made, to appreciate the talented Indonesian dangdut singer. On the eve of the celebration, Rina Nose, Ramzi, Irfan Hakim, and Ivan Gunawan served as host.

Award process

The nominees and award winners are selected based selection of the most popular viewers via SMS. While the election has its own special award from the organizers. All awards through the verification team Indosiar and music observers. For a special award will be chosen by the judges.

Categories

From 2014 to 2016, the show had the same categories and category names every year. In 2014, totaling 8 categories, each winner will get one trophy. There is also one special nominations, namely "Dangdut Share" given to 5 dangdut musicians. In 2015, the category increased to 11 and in 2016 became 10.

Anugerah Musik Indonesia Annual Indonesian music award

The Anugerah Musik Indonesia, also known as AMI or colloquially AMI Awards, is an annual Indonesian music award ceremony to recognize outstanding achievements in improving the quality and quantity of artists in the mainly Indonesian-language music industry. It has been compared to the American Grammy Awards and British Brit Awards. It provides recognition of the music industry similarly as other entertainment awards such as the Panasonic Gobel Awards (television) and Festival Film Indonesia.

Anugerah Planet Muzik, commonly known by the acronym APM, is an award ceremony for artists engaged in the music industries of the Malay-speaking region in Southeast Asia ; the awards nominate singers from countries within said region which are Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Organised by MediaCorp's Malay Broadcast Division, Suria, Warna 94.2FM & Ria 89.7FM, this prestigious music awards ceremony and achievements in the regional Malay-Indonesia music industry. APM is supported by Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) and Indonesian Music Award Foundation (YAMI).

Wishnutama Indonesian journalist

Wishnutama Kusubandio is a former Indonesian journalist. He was co-founder and also CEO of NET. Mediatama Television, founded on 18 May 2013 until his resignation on 22 October 2019. Isyana Sarasvati Indonesian singer-songwriter

Isyana Sarasvati is an Indonesian singer-songwriter. She is a graduate of Singapore's Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and London's Royal College of Music. Known for her original compositions, she wrote all of the songs on her 2015 debut pop album, Explore! and on her two subsequent albums, Paradox (2017) and Lexicon (2019). She has also performed as an opera singer in Singapore. She is the recipient of numerous Indonesian and international awards.

The 2015 Dahsyatnya Awards was an awards show for Indonesian musicians. It was the seventh annual show. The show was held on January 23, 2015, at the Istora Senayan in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The awards show was hosted by Raffi Ahmad, Ayu Dewi, Denny Cagur, Nagita Slavina, Marcel Chandrawinata, Syahnaz Sadiqah, and Lolita Agustine. The awards ceremonies will held theme for "Dahsyatnya Tanpa Batas".

D'Academy or DA is the first and biggest dangdut music talent show created by Programming Indosiar. Production is conducted by Indosiar Production Team and Indonesia Entertainmen Produksi. This event has successfully risen up dangdut music phenomenon, and this program has become one of most successful talent search show in Indonesia. The success of this event is resulted with the program D 'Academy Celebrity and D' Academy Asia.

The 2017 Dahsyatnya Awards, honoring the best in music and entertainment for 2017, was held on January 25, 2017, at the Ecopark Ocean Ecovention Ancol in Pademangan, North Jakarta. It was broadcast live on RCTI. It's the ninth annual show and was hosted by Raffi Ahmad, Ayu Dewi, Denny Cagur, Syahnaz Sadiqah, Anwar Sanjaya and Felycia Angelistya. The ceremonies awards were held the theme for "We Are Dahsyat" and presenting 14 categories award, including special award and a new category to Outstanding EDM.

Via Vallen Indonesian singer

Maulidia Octavia, known professionally as Via Vallen, is an Indonesian dangdut singer. Her stage name, "Vallen", is taken from Evanescence's first album Fallen.

Hartini Erpi Nurjanah, better known as Ikke Nurjanah, is an Indonesian dangdut singer and actress. She was born in Pademangan Timur, Pademangan, North Jakarta.

Lestiani better known with the mononym Lesti is an Indonesian singer and actress and television personality of Sundanese origin. In her earliest releases, she is known as Lesti DA or Lesti Kejora.
