Instrumental Album: The Rising Tied is the debut instrumental studio album of hip hop ensemble Fort Minor, the side project by Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda. [1] The album was released on January 1, 2005 through Warner Bros. Records and Shinoda's label Machine Shop Recordings. [2] [3] The album was released almost a year before the release of his debut studio album, The Rising Tied . It failed to charts for several occasions.

Shinoda handled production for the album. Jay-Z, who worked with Linkin Park on their collaborative EP Collision Course in 2004, served as an executive producer for the album. Shinoda collaborated with Styles of Beyond's DJ Cheapshot, Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill and Linkin Park turntablist Joe Hahn for this album.

Joseph Hahn is an American musician, DJ, director and visual artist best known as the DJ of the American rock band Linkin Park, doing the scratching, turntables, sampling, and programming for all seven of Linkin Park's albums. Hahn, along with bandmate Mike Shinoda, are responsible for most of Linkin Park's album artwork. Hahn also directed many of the band's music videos.

Mike Shinoda American musician

Michael Kenji Shinoda is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and graphic designer. He co-founded Linkin Park in 1996 and is the band's lead vocalist, as well as rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. Shinoda later created a hip-hop-driven side project, Fort Minor, in 2004. He has also served as a producer for tracks and albums by Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond and the X-Ecutioners.

Collision Course is a collaborative album from American rapper Jay-Z and rock band Linkin Park, released on November 30, 2004, by Roc-A-Fella, Machine Shop, Warner Bros. and Def Jam records. From Linkin Park's catalog, Collision Course features three songs from Meteora and four from Hybrid Theory. From Jay-Z's catalog, it features three songs from The Black Album, one from Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter, one from Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life and one from The Blueprint. Before the album, Jay-Z had released collaborations with The Roots and R. Kelly, and Linkin Park had collaborated with various artists on their remix album Reanimation.

Styles of Beyond is an underground hip hop group from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. The group consists of MCs Ryan Patrick Maginn (Ryu) and Takbir Bashir (Tak), Colton Raisin Fisher, and producer Jason Rabinowitz. They have released two LPs, one mixtape and were heavily featured on Mike Shinoda's Fort Minor project in 2005. At one point they were also signed to Shinoda's Machine Shop Recordings label, although they left the label in late 2008. They are also heavily associated with the underground rap group Demigodz which features similar underground artists such as Apathy, Celph Titled, and 7L & Esoteric.

Post Traumatic is the debut solo studio album by Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda going by his own name instead of using the Fort Minor moniker. It is his second solo studio album after Fort Minor's The Rising Tied. It was released on June 15, 2018. The album was announced on March 29, 2018, along with the release of two new songs to promote the album: "Crossing a Line" and "Nothing Makes Sense Anymore". "Crossing a Line" and "Make It Up as I Go" were issued to radio stations as the album's two official singles.
