International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) is a global non-governmental organization and a participant of the United Nations Global Compact. Its objective is to promote peace and harmony in various local communities across the globe and to ensure that the aims and objectives of the United Nations in the maintenance of global peace is being achieved. [1] [2] [3]

The association is a body of concerned global citizens whose interest is to promote universal peace, just and inclusive society within the United Nations to ensure that all classes of people in our society are carried along on the schemes, programs and policies of the United Nations. [4]

It networks international and regional organizations and recruits people of decent ethical manner as Eminent Peace Ambassador through effective screening of nominations with special regards granted to personalities whose effort are evident in making peace and providing benevolence to orphanage children, widows and the elderly.

As a body of Eminent Peace Ambassadors, the organization commemorates the United Nations International Observance days, decades and years with concentration at the national, states and grassroots, bringing the awareness of the United Nations to people who have no knowledge of the working, functions and structure of the United Nations to enable them share and gain knowledge on particular events, themes and subject matters. [5]

Olusegun Akinsanya, mni is a Nigerian diplomat and statesman who served as the Nigerian Ambassador Extra-Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ethiopia and Djibouti from 2004 to 2007 and Permanent Representative to the African Union and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa from 2008 to 2010.

Jamila Bio Ibrahim is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician who is currently serving as Nigeria's Minister of Youth. She was appointed to the position by President Bola Tinubu in September 2023. Prior to her appointment, she served as the president of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). She has also served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
