Inversions is the second extended play album by American rock band The Colourist. Released on 28 October 2014, the album contains remixes of five songs from the eponymous debut LP from the band by recording artists such as The Chainsmokers, St. Lucia, Yeasayer, Magic Man and The Jane Doze.
In early 2013, Jean-Philip Grobler (also known as St. Lucia) remixed "Little Games", the debut single from the band, which was portrayed on Vice Media. [1] In the middle of that year, MTV published the Magic Man Remix of "Yes Yes" [2] with Baeble Music [3] and Hellhound Music featuring The Chainsmokers remix of "Fix This" at the end of that year. [4] Four months prior, debut EP Lido was published [5] with their debut studio album being released during the first quarter of 2014. [6] In early October 2014, The Colourist remix of "Say You Need Me" from the LP was debuted in preparation for the release of the EP. [7] One month following the release of the six song production, Culture Collide debuted the video for the same song. [8]
The St. Lucia remix of "Little Games" was rated as the No.1 song on Hype Machine. [9] Vice Media stated that St. Lucia "pulls a warm Balearic blanket over the original, sanding away its rough edges with bright synths and lightly gated percussion" [1] with Invisible Children describing the work as "total re-imagination and made specifically for after-hour parties". Brooke Ferguson of The Music Ninja stated that "Say You Need Me" is "guaranteed going to make you want to groove like never before" [7] with Ian Hays of Culture Collide describing the song as getting "an ‘80s makeover" with an "‘80s theme [extending] to the video itself". [8]

Temposhark was an English electronic rock band, formed in London and Brighton by singer-songwriter Robert Diament and one-time music producer Luke Busby. Temposhark were best known for their songs "Bye Bye Baby", "Joy", "It's Better To Have Loved" and "Not That Big", a duet with singer Imogen Heap which appeared on their 2008 debut album, The Invisible Line. Their second album, Threads, was released in 2010 and reached the top 15 on the iTunes UK electronic albums chart. Other notable artist collaborations include Guy Sigsworth, Sean McGhee, Youth from Killing Joke, Kate Havnevik, Melnyk, Camille, MaJiKer, Morgan Page, Avril and the virtuoso violinist Sophie Solomon. Temposhark's music has been featured in numerous television programmes, including the US advertising campaign for British TV series Downton Abbey in 2011.
"Only U" is a song by American singer Ashanti from her third studio album, Concrete Rose (2004). The song's introduction uses a sample of Club Nouveau's 1986 song "Why You Treat Me So Bad". "Only U" is a rock-tinged song, that finds Ashanti in love and willing to do anything to be with the one she loves, no matter the cost.
"Turnin Me On" is a song by American singer-songwriter Keri Hilson, from her debut album, In a Perfect World... The song features American rapper Lil Wayne who co-wrote the song alongside Hilson and Zachary Anson Wallace. Production credits are shared between Danja and Polow da Don, who also co-wrote the song. Following the minimal chart success of Hilson's worldwide lead single "Energy" in the United States, international markets received "Return the Favor", while "Turnin Me On" was released as the third single in the US.
Noisia were a Dutch electronic music trio consisting of members Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger from Groningen, Netherlands. They produced a wide variety of music including drum and bass, dubstep, breakbeat and house, releasing music under labels including Skrillex's Owsla, deadmau5's mau5trap and Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Noisia previously combined with the group Foreign Beggars to form the supergroup side project I Am Legion. They released their collaborative self-titled album on 2 September 2013. Noisia also have production credits under the pseudonym Nightwatch, such as for their work with Alexis Jordan, Hadouken!, Wiley and Wretch 32. They produced Hadouken!'s album For the Masses that charted at number 19 on the UK Albums Chart.
"Teach Me How to Dougie" is the debut single by American hip hop group Cali Swag District. The song was written by Chanti Glee, Charon Childs, and Corey Fowler, and was released digitally on April 12, 2010 through Capitol Records. It was produced by Runway Star for the group's debut studio album, The Kickback (2011). The title refers to the Dougie dance, which originated in Dallas, Texas by rapper Lil' Wil from his song "My Dougie".
"Jump" is a song recorded by Barbadian singer Rihanna for her seventh studio album, Unapologetic (2012). It was written by Kevin Cossom, M. B. Williams, Stargate and Chase & Status, with production done by the latter two and Kuk Harrell. It samples the lyrics of the 1996 single "Pony", performed by Ginuwine. Its composition and structure received comparisons to not only Justin Timberlake's song "Cry Me a River" and Magnetic Man's "I Need Air", but also to some of Rihanna's previous songs, including "Rude Boy" and "Red Lipstick". A remix of the song called "Jump " by rapper Theophilus London was leaked onto the internet. "Jump" was serviced to Australian radio on January 24, 2014 as the album's sixth single.

The EDM-pop duo achieved a breakthrough with their 2014 song "#Selfie", which became a top-twenty single in several countries. They have won a Grammy award, two American Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and nine iHeartRadio Music Awards. According to Forbes 2019 list of highest-paid celebrities, the Chainsmokers were the highest-paid DJs, dethroning Calvin Harris after six years.

The band has been inactive since Aoki Tuttle's departure in December 2016; a social media post in late 2021 hinted at the band resuming activity, but they have not released any new music since the announcement.

Great Good Fine OK is an American synthpop band formed in New York City, United States who relocated to Los Angeles in 2022. The band was founded by Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman in 2013. Although both grew up in Upstate New York, they only met when living around the corner from each other in Brooklyn, NY. In 2013, the duo released the song "You're the One for Me". Its overwhelming online popularity resulted in the song reaching number one on Hype Machine twice in one month. Soon after their first seven shows at SXSW in the spring of 2013, the band signed with Neon Gold/Epic Records and Transgressive Records/Warner/Chappell Music publishing.
