Paul Kenneth Bernardo, also known as The Scarborough Rapist and The Schoolgirl Killer, is a Canadian serial killer and serial rapist. He is known for initially committing a series of rapes in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, between 1987 and 1990, before subsequently committing three murders with his then-wife Karla Homolka; among these victims was her young sister Tammy Homolka. After his capture and conviction, Bernardo was sentenced to life imprisonment and was later declared a dangerous offender, thus making it unlikely that he will ever be released from prison.

Karla Leanne Homolka, also known as Karla Leanne Teale, Leanne Teale, and Leanne Bordelais, is a Canadian serial killer who acted as an accomplice to her husband, Paul Bernardo, in the rape and murder of at least three minors in Ontario between 1990 and 1992. Homolka attracted worldwide media attention when she was convicted of manslaughter and made to serve only twelve years for the murders of two teenaged girls, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, as a result of a controversial plea bargain with Ontario prosecutors. Bernardo was convicted of the Mahaffy–French murders and received life imprisonment and a dangerous offender designation.

Bernardo C. Bernardo was a Filipino veteran stage actor, comedian, and film director. He was known for his role as a supporting actor for the blockbuster film Invisible, which is also known as Imbisibol in the Philippines. Bernardo was awarded the Gawad Urian Award for his Best Supporting Actor role for the film, Invisible at the 39th Gawad Urian Awards in 2016 and was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 FAP Awards in the Philippines. Bernardo Bernardo died on March 8, 2018, following a tumor in his pancreas.
