Allen Dizon (born on October 3, 1977), is a Filipino actor, model and producer. A former member of the Viva Hot Men, [1] Dizon has transitioned from his early years in daring roles to become an independent film actor and producer. [2]

Contents

In 2007, he won the Best Supporting Actor FAMAS award and Star Award for Movies in the film Twilight Dancers . [3] Dizon appeared in movies such as Dukot (2009), Sigwa (2010), Patikul (2011), Deadline (2011), and Migrante (2012). [4] He played Sonny Burgos in the film Burgos (2013) starring Lorna Tolentino and Rocco Nacino, directed by Joel Lamangan. [5] Dizon played as a soldier in Lauriana (2013) with Bangs Garcia and Rich Asuncion. [6] He starred in ABS-CBN's melodrama series Doble Kara (2015), as Antonio Dela Rosa. [7]

In 2021, while appearing as well in a few drama anthology episodes, Allen was included in a handful of GMA Network series, like First Yaya and Agimat ng Agila, but it was in 2022 when he got a top-billing TV series role in Return to Paradise, playing main support, alongside Eula Valdez, to the paired leads Derrick Monasterio and Elle Villanueva. [8]

He currently appears in GMA Network's melodrama series Abot-Kamay na Pangarap as he plays the recurring role Dr. Carlos Benitez, a former partner of Moira (played by Pinky Amador) and Zoey's (played by Kazel Kinouchi) biological father. [9] Dizon is also reunited with co-starred Carmina Villarroel in ABS-CBN's melodrama series Doble Kara

Dizon produced the indie films Crossroads (Paupahan) (2008), Marino (2009) and Dukot (2009). [10] [11] [12]

<i>Die Beautiful</i> 2016 LGBT drama film by Jun Lana

Die Beautiful is a Filipino LGBT comedy-drama film produced and directed by Jun Robles Lana and co-produced by Ferdinand Lapuz and Perci M. Intalan, from a story by Jun Lana and screenplay by Rody Vera. It stars Paolo Ballesteros as Trisha, a trans woman who suddenly died after she was crowned winner of a gay beauty pageant and her friends who transform her into a different person on each night of her wake in a different location as a way to avoid being buried as a man by her father. It also tackles her whole life when she felt and dealt with problems and successes on living as a Filipina transgender as well as controversy in her family.
