Ippatsu Kanta-kun is a Japanese anime series created by Tatsunoko Production. [2] Along with Temple the Balloonist,it was one of the last works for which Tatsunoko co-founder Tatsuo Yoshida was credited as a creator;Yoshida died before the series began airing. The series was released in two DVD box sets in January 2010. [3] [4]
Kanta Tobase (Japanese :戸馳貫太) lives in the downtown with his mother,seven brothers and sisters,and the house dog. He is very enthusiastic about baseball. However,his mother never allows her children to even talk about baseball,not to speak of playing it since she believes that her husband died accidentally on account of baseball. As for Kanta,however,he continues play baseball secretly from early morning. One day he is asked by his friend to play as a substitute on a team. As Kanta completes a big play,he sees his mother standing there with a grim look. She tells Kanta not to play baseball ever again. But Kanta does not give up. As usual,he goes out to the field early next morning for practice. When his mother who is moved by Kanta's eagerness she decides to help Kanta and even proposes to organize a baseball team of their own.
Never released in English,the anime was a success on television in Italy (as Il fichissimo del baseball) and in Poland (as Baseballista). It is also noteworthy for marking the directorial debut of then-Tatsunoko staffer and future Ghost in the Shell and Urusei Yatsura director Mamoru Oshii,as an episode director.
Tatsunoko Production Co.,Ltd. and often shortened to Tatsunoko Pro,is a Japanese animation and li company. The studio's name has a double meaning in Japanese:"Tatsu's child" and "sea dragon",the inspiration for its seahorse logo.

Akemi Takada is a Japanese manga artist and anime character designer born in Tokyo,Japan. Her character-design work is one of the more recognizable styles of the 1980s,when she worked on series like Creamy Mami and Kimagure Orange Road. She is also noted for her long collaboration with director Mamoru Oshii. She graduated from Tama Art University,after which she worked for Tatsunoko Pro. She is currently a freelance manga artist with her own studio,though she is also a member of the creative group Headgear. She also has her own designer jewelry store called Diakosmos.
Bye Bye,Lady Liberty is the first television special in the Lupin III franchise. Directed by veteran director Osamu Dezaki,it was broadcast by NTV on April 1,1989. A number of Lupin III television specials have followed with a total of 28 airing as of November 2019,including a crossover special with Detective Conan.
Osomatsu-kun is a comedy manga series by Fujio Akatsuka which ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from 1962 to 1969. The series revolves around a group of sextuplet brothers who cause all sorts of mischief. It has been adapted into two different anime series of the same name,the first of which was produced by Studio Zero in 1966,and the second by Studio Pierrot in 1988. A new anime series by Pierrot,Mr. Osomatsu,began airing in October 2015 to celebrate Akatsuka's 80th birthday,with a manga adaptation by Masako Shitara serialized in Shueisha's You magazine from January 2016.

Stop!! Hibari-kun! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hisashi Eguchi. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from October 1981 to November 1983,and the chapters were published in four tankōbon volumes. The series was adapted into a 35-episode anime television series by Toei Animation that aired on Fuji Television from May 1983 to January 1984. The story focuses on Kōsaku Sakamoto,a high school student who goes to live with yakuza boss Ibari Ōzora and his four children—Tsugumi,Tsubame,Hibari and Suzume—after the death of his mother. Kōsaku is shocked to learn that Hibari,who looks and behaves as a girl,was assigned male at birth.
Hurricane Polymar is a Japanese anime and OVA series produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The show was created by Tatsuo Yoshida,who had produced many of Tatsunoko's series. Other romanizations of the name include Hurricane Polymer and Hariken Polymar. Hurricane Polymar is the secret identity of Takeshi Yoroi. He wears a special suit which enables him to fight crime. The suit is made of memory plastic which enables him to assume any shape,including morphing its wearer into 5 different vehicles.
