Ippatsu Kanta-kun is a Japanese anime series created by Tatsunoko Productions [2] in partnership with Topcraft. Along with Temple the Balloonist,it was one of the last works for which Tatsunoko co-founder Tatsuo Yoshida was credited as a creator;Yoshida died before the series began airing. The series was released in two DVD box sets in January 2010. [3] [4]
Kanta Tobase (Japanese :戸馳貫太) lives in the downtown with his mother,seven brothers and sisters,and the house dog. He is very enthusiastic about baseball. However,his mother never allows her children to even talk about baseball,not to speak of playing it since she believes that her husband died accidentally on account of baseball. As for Kanta,however,he continues play baseball secretly from early morning. One day he is asked by his friend to play as a substitute on a team. As Kanta completes a big play,he sees his mother standing there with a grim look. She tells Kanta not to play baseball ever again. But Kanta does not give up. As usual,he goes out to the field early next morning for practice. When his mother who is moved by Kanta's eagerness she decides to help Kanta and even proposes to organize a baseball team of their own.
Never released in English,the anime was a success on television in Italy (as Il fichissimo del baseball) and in Poland (as Baseballista). It is also noteworthy for marking the directorial debut of then-Tatsunoko staffer and future Ghost in the Shell and Urusei Yatsura director Mamoru Oshii,as an episode director.
Hen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku. There are two separate Hen series,both were published in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump;the first one from 1989 to 1994,and the second from 1995 to 1997. Both series received a television drama adaptation broadcast on TV Asahi in 1996. The second series received a two-episode original video animation (OVA) adaptation released in 1997. In North America,the OVA was licensed by Central Park Media,under the title Strange Love,and released on DVD in 2002.

Akemi Takada is a Japanese manga artist and anime character designer born in Tokyo,Japan. Her character-design work is one of the more recognizable styles of the 1980s,when she worked on series like Creamy Mami and Kimagure Orange Road. She is also noted for her long collaboration with director Mamoru Oshii. She graduated from Tama Art University,after which she worked for Tatsunoko Pro. She is currently a freelance manga artist with her own studio,though she is also a member of the creative group Headgear. She also has her own designer jewelry store called Diakosmos.
Osomatsu-kun is a comedy manga series by Fujio Akatsuka which ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from 1962 to 1969. The series revolves around a group of sextuplet brothers who cause all sorts of mischief. It has been adapted into two different anime series of the same name,the first of which was produced by Studio Zero in 1966,and the second by Studio Pierrot in 1988. A new anime series by Pierrot,Mr. Osomatsu,began airing in October 2015 to celebrate Akatsuka's 80th birthday,with a manga adaptation by Masako Shitara serialized in Shueisha's You magazine from January 2016.
The Monster Kid is a shōnen manga and anime series by Fujiko Fujio named after its protagonist. The first series was broadcast on TBS from April 21,1968 to March 23,1969. The second series was broadcast on TV Asahi from September 2,1980 to September 28,1982. A live-action series was broadcast on Nippon Television and Yomiuri Television from April 17 to June 12,2010. The 94-episode 1982 iteration was aired around the world,marketed as The Monster Kid,which was the official English title.

Hurricane Polymar is a Japanese anime and OVA series produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The show was created by Tatsuo Yoshida,who had produced many of Tatsunoko's series. Other romanizations of the name include Hurricane Polymer,and Hariken Polymar. Hurricane Polymar is the secret identity of Takeshi Yoroi. He wears a special suit which enables him to fight crime. The suit is made of memory plastic which enables him to assume any shape,including morphing its wearer into 5 different vehicles.

My Neighbor Seki is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takuma Morishige. The series follows a girl named Rumi Yokoi who is constantly distracted by her neighboring classmate,Toshinari Seki,as he indulges in elaborate hobbies and somehow never gets caught in the process. Originally published as a one-shot in 2010,it started serialization in the November 2010 issue of Media Factory's Comic Flapper magazine. Vertical publishes the manga in North America. An original video animation by Shin-Ei Animation was released bundled with the limited edition of the manga's fifth volume on January 4,2014,and a 21-episode television series adaptation aired in Japan between January and May 2014. A new manga series debuted on July 4,2020.

Mirei Kiritani also appeared in a supporting role. It received an average viewership rating of 9.7%.
