Iris Wolves (born 9 May 1994) is a Dutch water polo player for Polar Bears and the Dutch national team. [1]

The Netherlands women's national water polo team is the national team of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was one of the leading teams in the world during the 1980s and 1990s. More recently they are one of the top teams again claiming the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2023 World Championships and the 2024 European Championships. The team is governed by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Zwembond (KNZB).
The Netherlands competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China. This was announced in an official statement on the NOC*NSF website. In the statement they named the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games as a highlight in sports to which a lot of sportspeople, coaches and the Dutch sports fans would look forward. The Netherlands aimed for a top 10 nations ranking in the Olympics as well as a top 25 ranking in the Paralympics; they ended up ranking 12th at the Games.

The Netherlands competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dutch athletes have competed at every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the sparsely attended 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis and 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, which the Netherlands boycotted because of the Soviet invasion of Hungary.

Joanne Koenders is a Dutch water polo goalkeeper for the Polar Bears in Ede, Netherlands. Previously she played for ENC Arnhem. With Polar Bears, Koenders won the 2018 Dutch Championship and the 2019 KNZB Cup.
The 2020 Men's European Water Polo Championship Qualifiers are a series of tournaments aimed to establish the participants of the 2020 Men's European Water Polo Championship. The matches were played from 11 to 13 October 2019.
These are the rosters of all participating teams at the women's water polo tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The ten national teams were required to submit squads of 12 players. Additionally, teams could name one alternate player. In the event that a player on the submitted squad list suffered an injury or illness, that player would be able to be replaced by the player in the alternate list. On 3 July 2021, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed that there was a change for the 2020 Summer Olympics, allowing all 13 water polo players named to be available on the roster, with 12 being named for each match. This change was implemented due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of 7 August 2021, all players competed in the women's tournament.
The Netherlands competed at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary from 18 June to 3 July.
