Arno Havenga (born 14 November 1974) is a Dutch male former water polo player and current coach. He was a member of the Netherlands men's national water polo team. He competed with the team at the 1996 Summer Olympics and 2000 Summer Olympics. [1] He was also part of the national team at the 2001 Men's European Water Polo Championship and 2003 Men's European Water Polo Championship.
After his career he became water polo coach of the Netherlands women's national water polo team. First as an assistant to head coach [2] Robin van Galen who coached the team to Olympic gold in 2008. After Havenga took over as head coach, the team won silver at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and two silver medals at the European championships of 2014 and 2016. However, at the Qualification tournament of the 2016 Summer Olympics in own country, the team was not able to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. [3]
He was the head coach of the Dutch women's team at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where the team finished in sixth place. [4] [5]
Tibor Benedek was a Hungarian professional water polo player and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He played on the gold medal squads at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. Benedek also competed at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, where the Hungarian team placed 6th and 4th, respectively.

Ivo Trumbić was a Croatian water polo player and Olympic medallist. He later went on to manage. Ivo Trumbić coached the Netherlands to a bronze medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics, becoming one of the few sportspeople who won Olympic medals in water polo as players and head coaches.
István Görgényi is a Hungarian former water polo player who won a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics and coached the Australian women's national water polo team to the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Genidounias is considered one of the top scorers in the world. His top personal distinction is when he became the top scorer of the Champions League 2018–19 season as he scored 42 goals while in the same year he emerged ninth top player in the world.
Angeliki Gerolymou is a retired Greek water polo player, World Champion in 2011 in Shanghai with Greece women's national water polo team. She is the current assistant coach of Greece women's national water polo team under coach Athanasios Kechagias.
The Netherlands competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dutch athletes have competed at every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the sparsely attended 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis and 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, which the Netherlands boycotted because of the Soviet invasion of Hungary.
