Irukkam is a lake island located in the middle of Pulicat Lake in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.It is located 6 Km from Arambakkam, In recent times, Irukkam has emerged as a popular island resort owing to its proximity to Chennai. [1]

Transportation

Irukkam is located nearly 8 kilometers from Arambakkam. Transportation to the island is only possible by boat.

Located in Prince William Sound, the CDP consists of the Chugach Alutiiq village of Chenega Bay, which was established only after the Good Friday earthquake destroyed the original community on Chenega Island to the north. As of the 2010 census, the population of the CDP was 76, largely Alaska Natives. As of 2021, the population of Chenega is 49. Chenega Bay is in the Chugach School District and has one school, Chenega Bay Community School, serving approximately 16 students from preschool through high school.

Edgell Island is one of Baffin Island's small offshore islands, located in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago in the territory of Nunavut. It lies in Davis Strait, near the entrance into Frobisher Bay. Graves Strait, about 16 mi (26 km) long and 7 mi (11 km) wide, separates it from Resolution Island. Edgell Island has an area of 287 km2 (111 sq mi) and a perimeter of 148 km (92 mi). Black Bluff is a headland at the north end and is the only named feature on the island.

The Island, also called as Island Grounds, is a river island situated on the Coovum River in the northern part of the Indian city of Chennai. The island was created artificially in the early 19th century by merging the Coovum River with the then "Elambore River". An equestrian statue of Sir Thomas Munro, popularly known as "His Stirrupless Majesty", is located on the island. The Madras Gymkhana Club and Pallavan Illam, the headquarters of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), Chennai are also located here. The Island Grounds constitute a vast empty space on the island where fairs and exhibitions are held.

Schnäggeninseli

The Schnäggeninseli is an island in Lake Brienz, located in the Bernese Oberland. It is the only island in the lake and among the largest in the Bernese Oberland. The island has a maximum length of 115 metres and a maximum width of 40 metres. Its highest point is 570 metres above sea level or 6 metres above lake level. The distance from the shore is about 300 metres. The island is private property and belongs to the Schloss Seeburg.

Havneholmen, Copenhagen

Havneholmen is a mixed-use development located on reclaimed land off Kalvebod Brygge in the harbor of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located just east of the shopping centre Fisketorvet from which it is separated by a narrow canal, although it is annexed to mainland Kalvebod Brygge at its southern end.
