Iryna Ustymenko (born 3 April 1957) is a Ukrainian former butterfly and freestyle swimmer. She competed in three events at the 1972 Summer Olympics for the Soviet Union. [1]
Irina Natanovna Press was a multitalented Soviet athlete who competed at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics. In 1960, she won a gold medal in the 80 m hurdles and finished fourth in the 4 × 100 m relay. In 1964, she finished fourth in the hurdles and sixth in the shot put, but won gold in the newly introduced pentathlon event.
Iryna Oleksiyivna Merleni, née Melnyk (Мельник), married name Mykulchyn (Микульчин) is a Ukrainian wrestler, who competed in the – 48 kg weight class at the 2004 Summer Olympics and claimed the gold medal. In the same event at the 2008 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal. She is a three-time world champion, and has also won the European Championships once.
Iryna Vasiliyevna Yatchenko is a Belarusian former discus thrower best known for winning two Olympic bronze medals at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics, although she was eventually stripped of the latter medal due to a doping offence. She also became world champion at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics. Her personal best is 69.14 metres, achieved in July 2004 in Minsk.

She also competed at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics in several events, but was eliminated in the preliminaries. During her career she set 29 national records in the 50–200 m backstroke and various relay events.

Iryna Charnushenka-Stasiuk was a Belarusian long jumper. She was born in Slutsk, Minsk Region. Charnushenka-Stasiuk represented Belarus at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's long jump, along with her compatriot Volha Siarheyenka. She performed the best jump of 6.48 metres in her first attempt, despite having received two fouls throughout the entire qualifying round. Charnushenka-Stasiuk, however, failed to advance into the final, as she placed eighteenth out of forty-two athletes in the overall rankings. On December 5, 2013 she died of cancer at the age of 34.
