Iskenderbek Rysbekovich Aidaraliyev (born 13 November 1955) is a former Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan. He was appointed to that position on November 28,2007,following the resignation of Almazbek Atambayev, [1] and was replaced by Igor Chudinov on December 24,2007,following the December 2007 parliamentary election. [2] Previously,he was Acting First Deputy Prime Minister and had been Governor of Jalal-Abad Province from January 31,2006 [3] until November 27,2007. [4] Before that he had been Governor of Talas Province.

The Tulip Revolution or First Kyrgyz Revolution led to President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev's fall from power. The revolution began after parliamentary elections on February 27 and March 13,2005. The revolutionaries alleged corruption and authoritarianism by Akayev,his family and supporters. Akayev fled to Kazakhstan and then to Russia. On April 4,2005,at the Kyrgyz embassy in Moscow,Akayev signed his resignation statement in the presence of a Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation. The resignation was ratified by the Kyrgyz interim parliament on April 11,2005.
Roza Isakovna Otunbayeva is a Kyrgyz diplomat and politician who served as the President of Kyrgyzstan from 7 April 2010 until 1 December 2011,becoming the first female Central Asian head of state. She was sworn in on July 3,2010,after acting as interim leader following the 2010 April Revolution,which led to the ousting of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. She previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and as head of the parliamentary caucus for the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan. She is also known in Kyrgyzstan for the persecution of human rights activist Azimzhan Askarov and the failed policy that led to the bloody events of June 2010.
Felix Sharshenbayevich Kulov is a Kyrgyz politician who served as the 9th Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from 2005 to 2007,following the Tulip Revolution. He first served from 1 September 2005 until he resigned on 19 December 2006. President Kurmanbek Bakiyev reappointed him acting Prime Minister the same day,but parliamentary opposition meant Bakiyev's attempts to renominate Kulov in January 2007 were unsuccessful,and on 29 January the assembly's members approved a replacement.

Wang Jun is a Chinese politician and former senior regional official. He was the Director of the State Administration of Work Safety between March and September 2008. He was appointed acting Governor of Shanxi province in north China in September 2008 after a botched government response to a mudslide in the province led to the resignation of then Governor Meng Xuenong. He served as Shanxi Governor until December 2012,when he was transferred to Inner Mongolia to serve as party chief there. He left active politics in August 2016.

The 2020 Kyrgyz Revolution,also known as the Third Kyrgyz Revolution or October Events,began on 5 October 2020,in response to the previous day's parliamentary election that was perceived by protestors as unfair,with allegations of vote rigging. The results of the election were annulled on 6 October 2020. On 12 October 2020,President Jeenbekov announced a state of emergency in the capital city of Bishkek,which was approved by Parliament the following day. Jeenbekov resigned on 15 October 2020.
