István Pásztor (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈiʃtvaːnˈpaːstor] ; Serbian : Иштван Пастор, romanized: Ištvan Pastor; 20 August 1956 – 30 October 2023) was a Serbian politician who served as the president of the Assembly of Vojvodina from 2012 until his death in 2023. An ethnic Hungarian, he led the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians from 2008 to 2023.
István Pásztor was born in Novi Kneževac, SAP Vojvodina on 20 August 1956. He graduated from the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Law. In his later years, Pásztor was the chairman of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians and president of the Assembly of Vojvodina. He was once a leader of the Hungarian Coalition, which also included two other ethnic Hungarian political parties in Serbia.
Pásztor was the candidate of the Hungarian Coalition in the 2008 Serbian presidential election. He won 2.26% of the vote in the first round, and supported Boris Tadić in the second round.
Pásztor died on 30 October 2023, at the age of 67. [1] His death received condolences from politicians in Serbia and Hungary, and his funeral on November 4 was attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and President of Hungary Viktor Orbán. They were scheduled by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Oliver Dulić on 29 December 2007, as required per the Constitutional Law adopted by the National Assembly of Serbia on 30 September 2006 that proclaimed the new Constitution.

Zoltán Pék is a Serbian politician from the country's Hungarian community. He was the mayor of Senta from 2008 to 2010 and a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2012 to 2022, and now serves in the Senta municipal assembly. Pék is a member of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ).

She has served two terms in the National Assembly of Serbia and has been a secretary of state since 2016 in Serbia's Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development. Provincial elections were held in Vojvodina on 17 December 2023 to elect members of the Assembly of Vojvodina. Initially scheduled to be held by 30 June 2024, the possibility of calling a snap election was discussed in 2023. The Assembly dissolved itself on 16 November 2023, setting the election date for 17 December. It was concurrently held with the parliamentary and local elections in 65 cities and municipalities in Serbia.
