"It's Over Love" is song by American DJ and remixer Todd Terry featuring American singer Shannon, released on his 1997 album Ready for a New Day . [1] It received positive reviews from music critics, topping the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in April 1998 [2] [3] and reaching number 16 in the UK, making it Terry's third highest charting single on the UK Singles Chart. [4] It was also performed at the British music chart television programme Top of the Pops .
Larry Flick from Billboard wrote that Todd Terry "reminds club-land of his ability to construct catchy ditties that offer no apologies for their straightforward pop feel." He described the track as a "appealing single [...] bolstered by a seductively breathy vocal by disco-era diva Shannon", and also complimented its "pleasantly repetitive hook". [5] British magazine Music Week gave the song four out of five, adding, "More classy, uplifting garage from Todd The God featuring big vocals by Shannon. Not as massive as "Somethin' Going On", but pretty large by any measure." [6] Also Chris Finan from the RM Dance Update rated "It's Over Love" four out of five. [7]

"One More Try" is a 1995 song by American club music singer Kristine W, released as the second single from her debut album, Land of the Living (1996). It narrowly missed the Top 40 on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 41. In the US, it reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 64 on the Cash Box Top 100. In the Netherlands, "One More Try" peaked at number 16. Kristine W wrote the song after taking some friends to see her hometown and discovering her old junior high school had been condemned.
"U Sure Do" is a song by British electronic dance music group Strike. Released in December 1994, it was their second single and reached number 31 in the UK charts. In 1997, it was featured on the group's only album, I Saw the Future. The song was a big UK club hit and after receiving regular play in clubs throughout 1994/1995 it was re-released and re-entered the chart in April 1995, reaching number four. It also peaked at number-one on the UK Dance Singles Chart. The track samples Donna Allen's 1986 song "Serious" for the vocal, and Cubic 22's 1991 song "Night in Motion" for the main synth. In 1999, it was remixed and released as "U Sure Do '99". This version peaked at number 53 in the UK. In 2006, it was remixed a third time and released to a handful of DJs solely for club use. "Everything" is a song by American singer Mary J. Blige. It was written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis for Blige's third album, Share My World (1997). The song contains samples from "You Are Everything" (1971) by American soul group The Stylistics and "The Payback" (1973) by American singer James Brown, also incorporating elements from "Sukiyaki" (1961) by Japanese singer Kyu Sakamoto. She is probably most known for her dance-cover of "I Will Always Love You" which was released in 1993. It peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart, number 15 in Ireland and number three in Spain. "Never Miss the Water" is a 1995 recording written by Gerry DeVeaux and Charlie Mole, and performed by American singer Chaka Khan. It features vocals by Meshell Ndegeocello and had previously been unreleased. The song was included in Khan's 1997 greatest hits album Epiphany: The Best of Chaka Khan, Vol. 1 and went to #36 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. "Always There" is a 1975 song by Ronnie Laws and William Jeffrey from Laws' album Pressure Sensitive. After producer Wayne Henderson of The Crusaders enlisted lyricist Paul B Allen III to create a vocal version of the tune, officially making Allen a co-writer, it was re-recorded in 1976 by R&B group Side Effect for their third album, What You Need. Kevin Hedge and Josh Milan wrote the lyrics, which was published by Warner Chappell Music Ltd., and Blaze helmed the production. It was a sizeable hit in clubs in both the UK and US, and charted at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart, but fared better on the UK Dance Chart, reaching number two. In Italy, the single was a top 30 hit, while on the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 41 in September 1996. In the US, it peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. A music video was also produced to promote the single.
"I'm Alive" is the debut single by London-based DJ/producers Stretch Silvester and Jules Vern under the name Stretch & Vern. Containing a looped sample from "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire, it peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number-one on the UK Dance Chart. It was also featured on Coca-Cola advert campaigns. In other European countries, it peaked at number 21 in Ireland, number 23 in the Netherlands and number 29 in Sweden, where it also topped the Swedsh Dance chart. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 16 in September 1996. Outside Europe, the single peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the US and at number 65 in Australia. British electronic dance and clubbing magazine Mixmag ranked "I'm Alive" number 28 in its list of the best singles of 1996.
"Ultra Flava" is a house song by British duo Heller and Farley Project. After the wide renown with their remix of Ultra Naté's "How Long" in 1994 and M People's "Open Your Heart" in 1995, they released it as a single in 1996. It is a slightly re-worked version of their mix of "How Long", without Naté's vocals. They entitled it "Ultra Flava" as a nod to the track's origins. It was a huge club hit and peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, while reaching number-one on the UK Dance Singles Chart.
