The International Tchaikovsky Competition is a classical music competition held every four years in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Russia, for pianists, violinists, and cellists between 16 and 32 years of age and singers between 19 and 32 years of age. The competition is named after Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The Shostakovich competition is a classical music contest in chamber music performance. The two editions of the competition were held in 2008 and 2010 in Moscow, Russia. The contest was open to the participants of all countries in two categories: chamber music ensembles and piano duets. The Shostakovich Chamber Music Competition continued the line of musical contests named after Shostakovich and dedicated to the chamber music: e.g. Shostakovich String Quartet Competition in Moscow.
Alexander Mikhailovich Lubyantsev is a Russian pianist and composer. He is a laureate of the 2004 Sydney International Piano Competition and the 2007 International Tchaikovsky Competition, at which he received the bronze medal, no gold awarded, and has also been a prizewinner in over ten other piano competitions. His performance at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition and the ensuing events are also quite significant.
Stanislav Khegai is a Kazakhstani pianist. He is the winner of the 2014 European Piano Contest Bremen and the prizewinner of the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Brussels and the Concours Géza Anda in Zurich. He was awarded with second prize at the III International Scriabin Piano Competition in Moscow and Grand-Prix at the International Piano Competition of Central Asia.

Nikolai Nikolaevich Kuznetsov is a Russian pianist, the winner of the Grand Prix at the “Monte-Carlo Piano Masters 2021”, which is held under the patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco.
