J. Michael Sturdivant (born September 6, 2002) is an American football wide receiver for the UCLA Bruins. He previously played at California.
Sturdivant grew up in Highland Village, Texas and attended Edward S. Marcus High School. [2] As a junior, he caught 87 passes for 1125 yards and 10 touchdowns. [3] Sturdivant was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college football at California over offers from LSU, Oklahoma, and UCLA. [4] [5]
Sturdivant began his college career at California. He played in four games during his true freshman season before redshirting the year. [6] As a redshirt freshman, Sturdivant caught 65 passes 755 yards receiving and seven touchdowns and was named a Freshman All-American by The Athletic and honorable mention All-Pac-12 Conference. [7] [8] After the season he entered the NCAA transfer portal. [9]
The 2009 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Under second-year head coach Rick Neuheisel, they opened the season at the Rose Bowl on September 5 against San Diego State. The last game of the season, against USC was moved from the "Championship Saturday" weekend of December. Instead, the UCLA–USC rivalry game was played on Saturday, November 28 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Nyan Boateng is a former American football wide receiver. He was signed by the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Boateng played college football for the University of Florida and was a member the 2006 BCS National Championship team. He later transferred to UC Berkeley.
Robert Wilton Speight III is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins and Michigan Wolverines. In high school he was a 2014 Under Armour All-America Game selection and subsequently played college football for the Michigan Wolverines. Speight redshirted in 2014 and was the backup quarterback in 2015. As a redshirt sophomore in 2016, he started 12 games and earned third-team All-Big Ten honors. In 2017, Speight started four games before suffering a season-ending injury. In April 2018, Speight transferred to UCLA.
