Rajendra Babu made his Bollywood debut in 1987, with the remake version of this movie, titled as Pyaar Karke Dekho. The song Akkipete Lakkamma was retained in the Hindi version as Haki Petai Lakamma- both sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. The film was also remade in Tamil as Kanna Thorakkanum Saami. The film was a box office success.

Ravichandran along with Bhanupriya and Shruti among others. It is a remake of the Tamil movie Senthamizh Pattu directed by P. Vasu. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Amma En Deivam and marked Bhanupriya's Kannada debut.

Sneha is a 1999 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by V. S. Reddy and produced by Mohan Natarajan. The film stars V. Ravichandran, Ramya Krishna, Raasi and Karan in the leading roles. The film was a remake of Telugu film Snehithulu (1998) directed by Muthyala Subbaiah and written by Posani Krishna Murali. The film was also remade in Tamil as Aasaiyil Oru Kaditham (1999). The music was composed by Ravichandran to the lyrics of K. Kalyan. The film spoke about the friendship between a man and woman and their troubled marital relationships.
Chora Chittha Chora is a 1999 Indian Kannada language romance drama film directed by Subramanya and produced by Sa. Ra. Govindu. The film stars V. Ravichandran, Namrata Shirodkar and Malavika. This was Shirodkar's first & only Kannada film.

The film is a remake of the 2016 Tamil film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru starring Rahman in the lead role.
