Jabba Lake, also known as Jaba Lake [1] is an alpine glacial lake located in the Ushu valley of Swat Kohistan region in northern Pakistan. Elevation of lake is about 14,000 feet above sea level. [2] [3] [4]

Marghuzar, or Marghazar is a hill station located in the Swat District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, and is 13 kilometers away from Saidu Sharif. Marghuzar, translated as "green land", contains green valleys, cold springs, and mountains, including the Elum Ghar mountain. In 1940, the then Wali of Swat, Miangul Abdul Wadud, decided to build a summer residence there for himself which became the summer capital of Swat. The palace was named Sufed Mahal, translated as The White Palace. The palace has since been converted into a hotel. Marghuzar has a 200-year-old colossal chinar tree, which serves as a canopy for visitors. There is also a middle school and one primary school for boys and girls each, but there aren't any hospitals or clinics.

The Second Battle of Swat also known as Operation Rah-e-Rast, began in May 2009 and involved the Pakistan Army and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan militants in a fight for control of the Swat district of Pakistan. The first Battle of Swat had ended with a peace agreement, that the government had signed with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan in February 2009. However, by late April 2009 government troops and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan began to clash once again, and in May the government launched a military offensive code-named Operation Black Thunderstorm throughout the Swat district and elsewhere to oppose the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Daral Lake, also known as Daral Dand, is an alpine lake within the Bahrain region of the Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated to the northeast of Saidgai Lake. The lake appears as a giant amoeba in shape. Near the lake, there is an ancient mosque where shepherds and visitors offer their prayers and use it as a resting place for the night. Daral Lake is just one of many hidden gems in its surroundings.

Gabin Jabba, which in Pashto means Honey marshes, is located approximately 65 km from Mingora on Matta Sakhra road within the Swat valley of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is an area in Swat Valley with green meadows, thick forests, snow-clad mountains, mineral springs and high peaks. Gabin Jabba elevation is 2582m (8471ft) from the sea level.

Saidgai Lake also known as Saidgai Dand is a lake in the upper reaches of the Ushirai Dara within the Upper Dir District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located at an elevation of 11,500 feet (3,500 m) above sea level. It is located to the northwest of Gabin Jabba. The temperature is normally between 5 °C and 10 °C during hot months. Primarily, this lake attracts tourists from Dir as well as other regions of the country, especially during the months of June, July, and August. For the rest of the months, the lake remains covered by snow. Saidgai lake is at the boundary of Dir Upper and Swat.

The Swat Motorway(Urdu: سوات موٹر وے, Pashto: سوات بزرگراه ), also known as the M-16 or Swat Expressway, is a 160-kilometre-long (99 mi) four-lane motorway and provincial controlled-access highway in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Phase-1 of the project, completed in June 2019, connects the existing M-1 motorway at Nowshera to Chakdara while the under-construction second phase will extend the project to Fatehpur.

Saifullah Lake also known as Saifullah Danda in Pashto is an alpine glacial lake located to the north of Kalam Valley in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. From Mahodand Lake, you can trek to Saifullah Lake or also access the lake through 4×4 vehicles. The trek to Saifullah Lake is just about 10–15 minutes.
