Jacek Tascher (born in 1957 in Bydgoszcz) is a Polish former competitive figure skater. In the 1970s, he became a two-time national champion in men's singles and a two-time national silver medalist in ice dancing. He competed at six ISU Championships.

Career

Tascher began skating at Polonia Bydgoszcz when he was 4½ years old. [1] In 1973 and 1975 he won the Polish national title in men's singles. [2] He was sent to two World and two European Championships; his best result was 15th at the 1975 Europeans in Copenhagen.

In 1977, Tascher switched to ice dancing, forming a partnership with Halina Gordon-Półtorak. They became two-time national silver medalists and placed 12th at the 1978 and 1979 European Championships.

In 1989, Tascher founded the Walley Figure Skating Club in Poland. [1] He coaches at the club with his daughter, Magdalena. [3] In 1996, he began providing figure skating commentary for Polish Eurosport. [4] [5] He is also the president of the Polish Figure Skating Association. [6]

Polish Figure Skating Championships

The Polish Figure Skating Championships are a figure skating competition held annually to determine the national medalists of Poland. The event has been held annually since 1922. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating.

2008 World Figure Skating Championships

The 2008 World Figure Skating Championships was a senior international figure skating competition in the 2007–08 figure skating season. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event was held at the Scandinavium arena in Gothenburg, Sweden from March 16 to 23.

Jacek Jasiaczek (Polish pronunciation: ; born in the 1964 is a Polish former competitive ice dancer. With Iwona Bielas, he won the 1981 Polish national title and competed at three ISU Championships. They finished 11th at the 1979 World Junior Championships in Augsburg, West Germany; 9th at the 1980 World Junior Championships in Megève, France; and 18th at the 1981 European Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.

Holly Harris Australian figure skater (born 2002)
