Jack Lawrence (born 21 March 1897; date of death unknown) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1910s and 1920s. He played for South Sydney in the NSWRL competition during which the club won 5 premierships in 11 seasons. Lawrence was the older brother of Vic Lawrence who played for South Sydney in the 1920s.
Lawrence made his first grade debut for Souths against North Sydney in Round 1 1918 at North Sydney Oval. Lawrence would go on to win a premiership with Souths in his debut season as the club finished first on the table and were declared premiers without needing to play in a grand final.
In 1923, Souths reached the grand final against Eastern Suburbs. Lawrence played at lock in the 15–12 defeat which was played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Lawrence finished 1923 as the club's top point scorer.
In 1924, Souths again reached the grand final against rivals Balmain. Lawrence played at prop in the match which Souths lost 3-0 which was the lowest scoring grand final at the time.
In 1925, Lawrence was part of the South Sydney side which went the entire season undefeated and won the premiership outright without needing to play in a grand final.
Over the next few seasons, Lawrence played sporadically for Souths and did not play in the club's premiership victories between 1926 and 1928. Lawrence retired at the end of 1928 and played a total of 95 games for Souths across all grades. [2] [3] [4]
Clive Bernard Churchill AM was an Australian professional rugby league footballer and coach in the mid-20th century. An Australian international and New South Wales and Queensland interstate representative fullback, he played the majority of his club football with and later coached the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He won five premierships with the club as a player and three more as coach. Retiring as the most capped Australian Kangaroos player ever, Churchill is thus considered one of the game's greatest ever players and the prestigious Clive Churchill Medal for man-of-the-match in the NRL grand final bears his name. Churchill's attacking flair as a player is credited with having changed the role of the fullback.
Rupert John Rayner was an Australian state and national representative rugby league player and NSWRFL coach. His club playing career was with the South Sydney Rabbitohs from 1946 to 1957 and he also represented New South Wales on eleven occasions and played in five Test matches for the Australian national side.
Benny Wearing was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. An Australian international and New South Wales representative three-quarter, he played his club football in the NSWRFL Premiership for South Sydney. Wearing was the third player in Australian rugby league history to score 100 premiership tries.

A New South Wales state and Australian national representative three-quarter back, he played in the NSWRFL Premiership for the South Sydney club, winning the 1928, 1929, 1931 and 1932 titles with them. He was the brother of fellow South Sydney footballers, Oliver Why and Alby Why.
