Jackson Nasoore Ole Sapit (born 12 June 1964) is a Kenyan Anglican bishop. He was elected as the sixth archbishop and primate of the Anglican Church of Kenya on 20 May 2016 and was installed on 3 July 2016 at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
Sapit was baptised in 1977. He attended Rotian Primary School from 1973 to 1980, and Narok High School, from 1981 to 1984. He was confirmed in 1985 and worked as an evangelist and community motivator in Narok from 1987 to 1988.
Sapit studied at Berea Theological College in Nakuru from 1989 to 1991 to obtain a Diploma in Theology.
He was ordained a deacon in July 1991 and a priest in July 1992. He was vicar at Belgut Parish in the Diocese of Nakuru from 1992 to 1994. He studied at St. Paul's University, Limuru from 1994 to 1997, where he obtained the degree of Bachelor of Divinity. He obtained a Certificate in Research/Consultancy at Daystar University in 1999. He was vicar and project manager at Transmara Rural Development Programme in Kilgoris Parish from 1997 to 2002. He moved to the University of Reading in England where he obtained a M.A. in Social Development and Sustainable Livelihoods, in 2002/2003. In 2012 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in professional studies by the California-based Global University for Lifelong Learning.
Sapit was Diocesan Mission and Development Coordinator at the Diocese of Nakuru, from 2003 to 2004. He was suffragan bishop at the Diocese of Kericho from 2005 to 2007. He has been diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Kericho since 2008. [1]
He was elected from six contenders as the sixth archbishop and primate of the Anglican Church of Kenya at the House of Bishops meeting that took place at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi on 20 May 2016. He was installed on 3 July 2016 at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi. [2] Sapit is a supporter of the Anglican realignment and his election was welcomed by several of the primates in the Global Anglican Future Conference. [1]
The Episcopal Church of Jerusalem and the Middle East is a province of the Anglican Communion. The church became part of the Province of East Africa in 1960, but Kenya and Tanzania were divided into separate provinces in 1970.

The Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) is a series of conferences of conservative Anglican bishops and leaders, the first of which was held in Jerusalem from 22 to 29 June 2008 to address the growing controversy of the divisions in the Anglican Communion, the rise of secularism, as well as concerns with HIV/AIDS and poverty. As a result of the conference, the Jerusalem Declaration was issued and the Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans was created. The conference participants also called for the creation of the Anglican Church in North America as an alternative to both the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada, and declared that recognition by the Archbishop of Canterbury is not necessary to Anglican identity.
The Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria is a province of the Anglican Communion. Its territory was formerly the Diocese of Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa. On 29 June 2020 the diocese was elevated to the status of an ecclesiastical province, and became the forty-first province of the Anglican Communion. Eliud Wamukekhe Wabukala is a Kenyan Anglican Archbishop notable as a leader in the Anglican realignment. He is Bishop of the Diocese of All Saints Cathedral and the fifth Primate of the Anglican Church of Kenya. The Archbishop was a widower, following the death of his wife in 2010, and has five adult children from his first marriage. He married for the second time at 11 May 2012, in a ceremony that took place in Mombasa.
Stanley Ntagali is a Ugandan bishop of the Anglican Church who served as former chancellor of Uganda Christian University and former archbishop of Uganda and bishop of Kampala from 2012 to 2020. He also served as Bishop of Masindi-Kitara from 2004 to 2012. He is currently serving as an Anglican bishop in Uganda.

Jacob Erasto Chimeledya is a Tanzanian Anglican bishop. He was elected archbishop and primate of the Anglican Church of Tanzania on 21 February 2013 in a vote against the incumbent, Valentino Mokiwa, in a controversial election. He was enthroned on 19 May 2013 and also remained bishop of the Diocese of Mpwapwa. He was in office until 21 May 2018.
Martin Blaise Nyaboho is no longer a Burundian Anglican archbishop. He was elected the fourth archbishop and Primate of the Province of the Anglican Church of Burundi, and was installed on 21 August 2016 in Bujumbura's Holy Trinity Cathedral. He was succeeded by the Rt Rev Macumi Sixbert and was installed on the 21 August 2021.
