Geraldine "Jade" Buray Ecleo (born October 5,1970) is a Filipina politician and part-time actress/singer.
Ecleo served as the first governor of the Philippine province of Dinagat Islands when it was established in 2006. [1] She served as governor from July 1,2007,until 2010 and was succeeded by her mother,Glenda B. Ecleo. Ecleo served as Vice-Governor to her mother from July 1,2010,until 2013 and was defeated in the 2013 elections for the governor post by her mother,who was re-elected for a second term. In the 2016 general elections,she ran for a congressional seat to represent the lone district of Dinagat Islands but was defeated by the incumbent congresswoman,Kaka Bag-ao.
Ecleo is the daughter of Ruben Ecleo,founder of the Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association,and the sister of Gwendolyn Ecleo and controversial religious politician Ruben Ecleo Jr.

Upon the senior Ecleo's death in 1987,he was succeeded by his son Ruben B. Ecleo Jr.,who died in prison on May 13,2021,after being convicted of killing his wife in 2002.
Arlene "Kaka" J. Bag-ao is a Filipino human rights lawyer and agrarian reform advocate who served as Governor of the Dinagat Islands from 2019 to 2022. Islander's Castle is a residence of Governor Glenda Ecleo,of Dinagat Islands. Although not open to the public,the home can be viewed from the gates. The building,also known as the "White Castle",was erected by Glenda Ecleo,widow of Ruben Ecleo,in 2007,reportedly cost P350 million to build,and has been noted as overlooking a vista of shanties and unfinished roads.
Dinagat Islands's at-large congressional district is the sole congressional district of the Philippines in the province of Dinagat Islands. It was created ahead of the 2007 Philippine House of Representatives elections,following the separation of the islands from Surigao del Norte in 2006.
