Jaime Miguel Linares (born 21 May 1982) is an Angolan footballer who plays for C.R.D. Libolo as a defensive midfielder.

Club career

Born in Vila Real, Portugal to Angolan parents, Linares started playing football for Associação Desportiva e Cultural Escola Diogo Cão, joining S.C. Vila Real at the age of 14 and finishing his youth career with Boavista FC. He made his senior debut with another northern club, Gondomar S.C. of the third division, finishing the campaign with fellow league team S.C. Olhanense.

Sport Clube Vila Real (abbreviated as SC Vila Real ) is a Portuguese football club based in Vila Real in the district of Vila Real.

In the following four seasons, Linares continued to play in the third level, but also competed in division two with Leça F.C. and A.D. Ovarense. On early morning 16 May 2005 he was involved in a traffic accident with four other players, most notably José Bosingwa and Nélson Marcos, but suffered only minor injuries. [1]

Leça Futebol Clube, better known as Leça FC or simply Leça, is a Portuguese football club located in the town of Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos. Founded in 1912, it had a spell in the top-flight Primeira Liga between 1995 and 1998, when it was relegated for financial irregularities. They currently play in the Portuguese Second Division and, in the previous season of 2007–08, they finished 10th in the division. Associação Desportiva Ovarense commonly known as simply as Ovarense is a Portuguese sports club from the city of Ovar, Aveiro. The club was founded on 19 December 1921. It currently plays at the Estádio Marques da Silva which they have played in since 1954. The stadium also plays host to the club's reserve and youth teams. As a club it is well known for its basketball team who have won nineteen major trophies since their establishment in 1970. The club currently competes in the AF Aveiro Second Division following a seventh-place finish in the 2011–12 AF Aveiro Second Division season.

Chabab Ahly Bordj Bou Arréridj, known as CA Bord Bou Arréridj or simply CABBA for short, is an Algerian football club based in Bordj Bou Arreridj, founded in 1931. The club colours are yellow and black. Their home stadium, Stade 20 Août 1955, has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

International career

Linares was part of the Angolan squad at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. [2] There, on 22 January, at the age of almost 30, he made his international debut, playing the last seconds of the 2–1 group stage win against Burkina Faso. [3]
