Jakob Immanuel Pyra (1715-1744) was a German poet.
He was born in Cottbus in the Margraviate of Brandenburg, studied theology at Halle, where he joined Lange's Dichterbund, and lived with Lange in Laublingen. The two poets published Freundschaftliche Lieder (1746), which, with their delight in friendship and their unrhymed verse, foretell Klopstock. Pyra boldly, and rather pedantically, attacked Gottsched in 1736 with Erweis dass die Gottschedianische Sekte den Geschmack verderbe (1743), and his premature death was partly due to the bitterness with which the attack was returned.

Immanuel ben Solomon ben Jekuthiel of Rome was a Jewish poet and author who lived in present-day Italy and composed works in Hebrew and Italian. Immanuel’s most well-known work is his Hebrew-language maqama collection, the Mahberot Immanuel.

It was published during the earlier period of Kant's philosophy, often referred to as the "pre-critical" period, during which he expressed little doubt about the possibility of rational metaphysics as conducted in the Leibnizian-Wolffian philosophical system which dominated German philosophy during that time. Kant later came to view this period of his philosophical career as a "dogmatic slumber".

Immanuel College is a Lutheran school in Novar Gardens, Adelaide, South Australia – a co-educational day and boarding school from Year 7 to 12, offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. Established in 1895, the College is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia. It is the only Lutheran college in Adelaide that has boarders. Its sister schools include Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Gymnasium in Windsbach, Germany and Kyushu Lutheran College in Kumamoto, Japan.

Jakob Emanuel Lange, was a Danish mycologist who studied the systematics of gilled mushrooms. His best-known work is Flora Agaricina Danica, a five-volume plate work on the Agaricales of Denmark. He was also a dedicated Georgist land reformer.
Knud Morten Lange was a Danish mycologist and politician. He was son the mycologist Jakob E. Lange. He was professor of botany at the University of Copenhagen 1958-1989 and university vice chancellor 1976–1979. Early in his career, he established his name in arctic mycology, starting with his first expedition to Greenland in 1946. His studies of mating and intersterility in basidiomycetes are now classical. Later, his active research career succumbed to the burden of many administrative and political commitments. He nevertheless authored a number of popular mushroom books, which have been translated to several languages. Politically, Lange was first member of the Communist Party of Denmark, but during the 1950s he got into open conflict with the party executives and co-founded the Socialist People's Party in 1959. He was member of the parliament (Folketinget) for that party 1960–1976. He was a public proponent of nuclear energy as chairman of the state Energy Council (1976–1987).

The DragonBox Pyra is an upcoming Linux-based handheld computer equipped with a keyboard and gaming controls. The project entered prototyping stage in 2015. Pre-orders began on 1 May 2016, with a final release date still undefined. In August 2020 the first production model had been shipped, but only to developers, as the software wasn't ready.

The Gleimhaus in Halberstadt is one of the oldest literary museums in Germany. It was built in 1862 in the former home of the poet and collector Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim (1719-1803). The half-timbered house lies behind the choir of the gothic cathedral to Halberstadt. The collections of the Gleimhaus go back to Gleim's estate.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a 2017 action role-playing game developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. Released on December 1, it is the third installment in Xenoblade Chronicles and the seventh main entry in the Xeno series. Plans for the game began shortly before the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X in 2014. Key developers from previous games returned, including franchise creator Tetsuya Takahashi, and directors Koh Kojima and Genki Yokota. The team wanted to develop a story-driven game in the style of the original Xenoblade Chronicles. The game was announced in 2017 with a worldwide release date planned for the same year. As with Xenoblade Chronicles, the game was localized by Nintendo of Europe.
