Founded by Ottilie Abrahams in 1985. Jacob Marengo Tutorial College was established to cater the Namibian youth that was older to attend normal High School but, have ambitions to complete their secondary education. Today JMTC accept students of all ages and has been an excellent academic partner with other high schools in the country.
JMTC stimulates adult students to complete their academic endeavors. It also prepares students to enter Universities in Namibia as well as abroad with high inspirations to succeed. JMT-College has proposals to embark on service learning and broaden student awareness to global technology. GLADYS Karirirue Kahaka Phd, a local scientist who attended JMTC is awarded a Unesco-L'Oréal For Women in Science (FWIS) international fellowships this year.

The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) is a bilingual private school in Namibia. Situated in the capital Windhoek, The DHPS also offers boarding school facilities, a kindergarten and pre-school and primary and secondary grades from Grade 1 to grade 12. Various sporting facilities are part of the spacious campus in the centre of town, e.g. swimming pool, hostel, basketball courts, soccer fields, beach volleyball field and roller hockey rink. Scholars have the option of leaving with the NSSC in grade 12, which exempts them for Southern African universities and other Southern African institutions, or doing the Deutsche Internationale Abiturprüfung, also in grade 12.
Jacob Morenga, also Jakob, Jacobus, Marengo, and Marenga, known as the "black Napoleon", was an important figure in Namibia, then the German colony of German South West Africa. He was chief leader in the insurrection against the German Empire which took place between 1904 and 1908, and was best known for forging an alliance between the rival Herero and Namaqua tribes.
Ongwediva is a town in the Oshana Region in the north of Namibia. It is the district capital of the Ongwediva electoral constituency. As of 2010 it had 27,000 inhabitants and covered 4,102 hectares of land. Ongwediva has seven churches, two private schools and 13 government-run schools. Most of the inhabitants speak Oshiwambo.

Windhoek High School (WHS) is a secondary school in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Popularly known as ‘’The Blue School’’, it was founded on 5 February 1917, making it one of the oldest existing schools in the country. Currently, WHS is rated among the top 100 schools in Africa.
Windhoek International School is an independent, co-educational, international school located in Windhoek, Namibia. The school provides education from Early Years 1 through to Grade 12. It offers the IB Primary Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme as well as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. As an IB World School it is the only school in Namibia to offer International Baccalaureate programmes and is the one of the first schools worldwide to be authorised to offer these programmes. The school also boasts an international community of students from 45 different countries. Unlike other schools in Namibia, the International School's school year runs from mid-August to mid-June.

Originally situated in Otjimbingwe, it was relocated to Okahandja in 1890, and finally to Windhoek in 1968. Previously also known as the Augustineum Training College and today the Augustineum Secondary School, it is a public school located in Khomasdal, a suburb of Windhoek.
Gladys Karirirue Kahaka is a Namibian biotechnologist who was a recipient of the 2012 L'Oréal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science. She was the first Namibian to receive the award. She studies the genetics and molecular structure of plants.
