Founded by Ottilie Abrahams in 1985. Jacob Marengo Tutorial College was established to cater the Namibian youth that was older to attend normal High School but, have ambitions to complete their secondary education. Today JMTC accept students of all ages and has been an excellent academic partner with other high schools in the country.
JMTC stimulates adult students to complete their academic endeavors. It also prepares students to enter Universities in Namibia as well as abroad with high inspirations to succeed. JMT-College has proposals to embark on service learning and broaden student awareness to global technology. GLADYS Karirirue Kahaka Phd, a local scientist who attended JMTC is awarded a Unesco-L'Oréal For Women in Science (FWIS) international fellowships this year.

It is an Anglican mission school, part of St. Andrew's School. Rundu is the capital and largest city of the Kavango-East Region in northern Namibia. It lies on the border with Angola on the banks of the Kavango River about 1,000 metres above sea level. Rundu's population is growing rapidly. The 2001 census counted 36,964 inhabitants; and for the 2011 census it has climbed to 63,430.
Jacob Morenga, also Jakob, Jacobus, Marengo, and Marenga, known as the "black Napoleon", was an important figure in Namibia, then the German colony of German South West Africa. He was chief leader in the insurrection against the German Empire which took place between 1904 and 1908, and was best known for forging an alliance between the rival Herero and Namaqua tribes.
Ongwediva is a town in the Oshana Region in the north of Namibia. It is the district capital of the Ongwediva electoral constituency. As of 2023 it had 28,000 inhabitants and covered 4,102 hectares of land. Ongwediva has seven churches, two private schools and 13 government-run schools. Most of the inhabitants speak Oshiwambo.
Education in Namibia is compulsory until the year a learner turns 18. There are approximately 1900 schools in Namibia of which 100 are privately owned. Namibian subjects' syllabi are based on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education and Advanced Subsidiary Level which is part of Cambridge International. The Constitution directs the government to provide free primary education; however, families must pay fees for uniforms, stationery, books, hostels, and school improvements. Among sub-Saharan African countries, Namibia has one of the highest literacy rates.
Abraham Iyambo was a Namibian politician. Iyambo was a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 1995, serving as Minister of Fisheries from 1997 to 2010 and Minister of Education from 2010 until his death. Iyambo was a member of both the central committee and political bureau of the SWAPO Party and the chairperson of its think tank.

Windhoek High School (WHS) is a secondary school in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Popularly known as ‘’The Blue School’’, it was founded on 5 February 1917, making it one of the oldest existing schools in the country. Currently, WHS is rated among the top 100 schools in Africa.
Windhoek International School is an independent, co-educational, international school located in Windhoek, Namibia. The school provides education from Early Years 1 through to Grade 12. It offers the IB Primary Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme as well as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. As an IB World School it is the only school in Namibia to offer International Baccalaureate programmes and is one of the first schools worldwide to be authorised to offer these programmes. The school also boasts an international community of students from 45 countries. Unlike other schools in Namibia, the International School's school year runs from mid-August to mid-June.
Gladys Karirirue Kahaka is a Namibian biotechnologist who was a recipient of the 2012 L'Oréal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science. She was the first Namibian to receive the award. She studies the genetics and molecular structure of plants.

Patience Masua is a Namibian politician and lawyer. She serves as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly, after being appointed by President Hage Geingob in April, 2021, becoming Namibia's youngest Member of Parliament. Previously, she was Secretary General of Namibia National Students Organization and served in the UNAM SRC as student parliamentary speaker.
