Greater Poland Voivodeship is a voivodeship, or province, in west-central Poland. The province is named after the region called Greater Poland or Wielkopolska. The modern province includes most of this historic region, except for some western and northern parts.
West Pomeranian Voivodeship is a voivodeship (province) in northwestern Poland. Its capital and largest city is Szczecin. Its area equals 22 892.48 km2 (344.59 sq mi), and in 2021, it was inhabited by 1,682,003 people.

The Silesian Autonomy Movement, abbreviated as RAŚ, is a movement officially declaring its support for the autonomy of Silesia as part of a unified Europe. The association was founded in January 1990 by Rudolf Kołodziejczyk and is based in the Polish part of Upper Silesia. RAŚ sees the Silesians as a "separate nation" rather than primarily as Poles, Germans or Czechs.

Bytów County is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Bytów, which lies 79 kilometres (49 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk. The only other town in the county is Miastko, lying 37 km (23 mi) west of Bytów.
Citizen Włapko is the name of a 1.10 meter-high sculpture symbolizing a corrupt official. The satirical figure shows a naked boy with the head of a mature man wearing glasses with a mustache and beard. His right forefinger pointing to his left palm indicates a request for money. There is a bomb next to his left foot, which symbolizes the explosive nature of the request, and the nudity symbolizes the whole, "naked" truth.
Krystyna Pawłowicz is a Polish jurist and political figure. In the years 2007–2011, Pawłowicz was a Justice of the State Tribunal. She was a member of the Sejm and was part of the National Council of the Judiciary. Pawłowicz is a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal since 5 December 2019. She has taught at the University of Warsaw and the School of Public Administration in Ostrołęka.
Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy is a Polish political movement. Operating mainly at a regional level in a decentralised manner, it participates in elections as a national committee joining the individual regional counterparts. The organisation initially started out in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship before expanding to the rest of the country. The party is a heavily decentralised and federated organisation that fields candidates for local governments, often creating and cooperating with local committees and regional organisations. The BS lacks a central leadership and regional structures. The parties rule themselves separately and autonomously. Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy frequently acts as a minor partner of regional governing coalitions, such as in the voivodeships of Lubuskie and Lower Silesia.
The Szczecin Voivodeship was a voivodeship (province) with its capital in Szczecin, that was centered on the Farther Pomerania. It existed from 1946 to 1975. Until 19 February 1947 it was under the administration of Provisional Government of National Unity, which then was replaced by the Polish People's Republic. It was established on 28 June 1946, when it was carved out of the territory of the District of the Western Pomerania, and parts of the Gdańsk, and Pomeranian Voivodeships. On 6 July 1950, its eastern half was incorporated into then-established Koszalin Voivodeship, and the voivodeship ceased to exist on 31 May 1975, when it was replaced by then-established Szczecin and Gorzów Voivodeships.
Riad Haidar was politician, physician, and social activist. From 2019 to 2023 he was a member of the Sejm of Poland, and from 2010 to 2019 he was a member of the Lublin Voivodeship Sejmik. From 1998 to 2019 he was the medical director of the Neonatology Ward of the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Biała Podlaska.
Dariusz Krzysztof Wieczorek is a politician, electrical engineer, and tourist industry manager who currently served as the Minister of Science since 2023. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Sejm of Poland from constituency no. 41, which consists of the western portion of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Since 2021, he is one of the vice-chairpeople of the New Left party. From 2016 to 2020, he was a vice-chairperson of the Democratic Left Alliance. From 2002 to 2006, and from 2010 to 2018, he was a member of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Sejmik, from 1998 to 2001, a deputy mayor of Szczecin, and from 1994 to 2002, a member of the City Council of Szczecin.
The All-Poland Local Government Coalition is an organization in Poland consisting of local government political associations. As part of it functions the political party of the Local Government Coalition. It was founded on 12 December 2020 by splitting from the Nonpartisan Local Government Activists, and registered on 8 February 2021. Its political party was registered on 22 February 2024.
Agnieszka Maria Kłopotek is a politician and zootechnician. She is a member of the Sejm of Poland since 2023, was a member of the Kuyavian–Pomeranian Voivodeship Sejmik from 2014 to 2023. She belongs to the Polish People's Party.
James Douglas was a diplomat and Polish independence activist.
Jerzy Hardie-Douglas is a politician and surgeon. He was a mayor of Szczecinek from 2006 to 2018, and again since 2024, and a member of the Sejm of Poland from 2018 to 2023.
