Changsari is a village in Kamrup district of Assam, situated on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River. Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) is a premier state technical university located in Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2010 by the Assam Government under the Assam Science and Technology University Act 2009. It is only the premier Technical University in North-east India.

Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam-CEE) is a state-government controlled centralized entrance examination, conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University for admission into the 7 premier government engineering colleges in Assam. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation courses. The exam can be taken by those who studied Pure Science stream in plus two level with the specific subjects tested in the examination, which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Every year approximately 25,000 - 40,000 students take the examination, and it is increasing every year. Students of both Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and the Central Board of Secondary Education board take the test. Formerly the examination was conducted by Dibrugarh University and since 2018 it is conducted by Assam Science & Technology University.

Sobha Brahma was an Indian painter and sculptor. He lived and worked in Guwahati. He graduated from the Kalabhavana Visva-Bharati University Shantiniketan West-Bengal. Brahma developed a unique individual style that mixed traditional folk and modern Indian art.
