James Thomas Grear (born June 5, 1962) is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1998, with Company that are based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has released eight albums, with three of them charting on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. He has released albums with a few labels, such as the following: Born Again Records, Diamante Records, Liquid 8 Records, Alliant Music Group, Habakkuk Music, Echo Park Records.

Early life

Grear was born James Thomas Grear, [1] in Gary, Indiana on June 5, 1962, and was raised as a member of The Church of God in Christ by his parents. [2]

Music career

His music recording career began in 1998, and he has released eight albums with a myriad of labels, which are the following: Born Again Records, Diamante Records, Liquid 8 Records, Alliant Music Group, Habakkuk Music, Echo Park Records. [3] He had three albums place on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart, with one placing on the R&B Albums chart. [4] The three that charted on the Gospel Albums chart were 1998's Don't Give Up at No. 8, 2001's What Will Your Life Say at No. 14, and A Special Place in 2004 at No. 18. [4] The album Don't Give Up, also charted on the R&B Albums chart at No. 34. [4] He released, It's My Season, on May 5, 2015 by Universal Records alongside EchoPark JDI Records.

The group consist of two brothers, Anson Dawkins and Eric Dawkins. The first album, Dawkins & Dawkins, was released in 1993 by A&M Records. This was the only record released with the label. Their second album, Necessary Measures, released in 1994 by CGI Records. The third album, Focus, was released by Harmony Records in 1998. The third album, Worship in the House, was released by Word Records in tandem with Epic Records in 1996, and this album charted on the Christian Albums chart. He released, Glory in the House, in 1995 with the aforementioned labels, however this time around it charted on the Gospel Albums chart.

Cheneta Jones is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. She started her music career, in 2012, with the release of the studio album, Transformed, by Habakkuk Music, and this charted on two Billboard charts Top Gospel Albums and the Heatseekers Albums chart.

Gordon Mote

Gordon James Mote is an American Christian country/Southern gospel singer, piano virtuoso, and worship leader. He was born blind. He has released eight studio albums. His album Don't Let Me Miss the Glory (2007) was his breakthrough on the Billboard charts.

Lisa Charise Brooks is an American urban contemporary gospel, traditional black gospel, and gospel music recording artist and musician. She started her music career, in 1986, with her quartet, Witness. Her solo music career began in 1997, while she has since released four solo studio albums, More Than You'll Ever Know in 1997, Lisa Page Brooks in 2001, Strong in 2009, and Ready in 2013. Three of those albums charted on the Billboard magazine charts.
