James Stanley (born November 12, 1978) is an American gridiron football Linebackers Coach & Pass Game Analyst for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). [1] Stanley played professional indoor football from 2004 to 2007 for various teams in the Arena Football League (AFL), AF2, National Indoor Football League (NIFL) and American Indoor Football League (AIFL) and was the first overall pick in the AIFL draft in 2005. He has coached for several teams at the college and professional levels. Stanley was the linebackers coach for the Toronto Argonauts when won the 100th Grey Cup in 2012. [2]
Stanley went to Jackson High School in Jackson, Michigan, where he played football, basketball and ran track before graduating in 1997. [3]
Stanley played defensive back on the football team at the University of Toledo from 1998 to 2002 and was a four-year letter-winner. During his career, the Rockets earned back-to-back trips to the Motor City Bowl and won a Mid-American Conference (MAC) title in 2001.
After graduation from Toledo, Stanley also studied at Dayton Barber College in Dayton, Ohio and continued to take classes at the University of Dayton.
Stanley played four seasons of professional indoor football, from 2004 to 2007, with various teams in the Arena Football League (AFL), AF2, National Indoor Football League (NIFL) and American Indoor Football League (AIFL), and was selected with the first overall pick in the A.I.F.L. draft in 2005.
Stanley coached in three consecutive Canadian Football League Grey Cup games from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2019 and 2021. Stanley became the team's defensive backs coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2013 after helping the Toronto Argonauts capture the 100th Grey Cup as linebackers coach in 2012. [4] Prior to coaching with the Toronto Argonauts, Stanley began his Canadian Football League (CFL) coaching career as a defensive assistant working with the Secondary. with the Calgary Stampeders in 2011, working primarily with the defensive backs. In 2010, he was a special teams quality control and defensive assistant coach with the United Football League's Hartford Colonials, while later serving as a defensive coaching intern with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League working with the secondary. (NFL). [6] He also spent part of the 2009 season as a special teams and secondary intern with the NFL's Detroit Lions.
In addition to his pro experience, Stanley spent three years as the defensive backs coach for the University of Dayton, where he coached four All-Conference defensive backs. He also worked with the Cincinnati Marshals of the NIFL as their intern defensive backs coach in 2006. [3]
Michael O'Shea is the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a former Canadian football linebacker and former special teams coordinator of the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL from 2010 to 2013, winning the Grey Cup in 2012. O'Shea played 16 seasons in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts from 1993 to 2008. He retired second all-time in career tackles with 1,154 and is one of only three players to record over 1,000 tackles. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award in 1999 after recording 84 tackles, 13 special teams tackles and three interceptions that year. O'Shea is a three-time Grey Cup champion as a player, having won all three with the Argonauts in 1996, 1997, and 2004. He is also a two-time Grey Cup winning head coach, having won with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019 and 2021; O'Shea also won the Grey Cup previously as a special teams coach with the Toronto Argonauts in the 100th Grey Cup.

Corey Mace is a Canadian professional football coach and former player who is the head coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). James Barker is a football executive and coach. He is currently employed by TSN as a CFL panelist. His most recent employment in Canadian football was a senior advisor for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Barker has been the general manager of the Calgary Stampeders from 2005–07, and the Argonauts from 2011-2016. He was also the head coach of the Argonauts in 1999, with the Stampeders in 2003, and then again with the Argos in 2010-11. He has also been a sports analyst for the CFL on TSN. Barker has also served as a football operations consultant and assistant coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is a four-time Grey Cup champion having won twice as an assistant coach and twice as a football administrator.
Richard Stubler was an American football coach, primarily in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was most recently an assistant coach for the Toronto Argonauts. He is a five-time Grey Cup champion, all as a defensive coordinator, and was formerly the head coach of the Argonauts. He has been coaching since the 1970s and has coached at the high school level, NCAA, Arena Football League and the CFL.
Joshua Paul Bell is an American professional football defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played defensive back for nine years in the National Football League (NFL) and the CFL. He was originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Baylor.

He has worked as an assistant coach with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Stone coached the Argonauts to a victory in the 100th Grey Cup in 2012. He played college football at the University of Tennessee from 1992 to 1994 and professionally in the Arena Football League from 1996 to 2005. Stone has coached in the Arena Football League for the Bakersfield Blitz, Rio Grande Valley Dorados, and Milwaukee Iron. He has coached college football at Clark Atlanta University.
Chris Jones is an American gridiron football coach who is the senior defensive consultant for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was previously the head coach and general manager of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Elks after serving as the head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos. Jones previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes, Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts before becoming a head coach. Jones won four Grey Cup rings with four teams between 2002 and 2015.

The 104th Grey Cup was a Canadian football game that was played on November 27, 2016, between the Calgary Stampeders and the Ottawa Redblacks, that decided the champion for the 2016 CFL season. In an upset, the Redblacks defeated the heavily favoured Stampeders 39–33 in overtime to win a championship in just their third season of existence. This was the third Grey Cup game to go into overtime. This also marked a first that a CFL team won its division with a losing record (8–9–1) and became the 3rd worst team to win the Grey Cup.
