Jamyang Namgial (born 3 June 1985) is an Indian skier. Namgial participated in his first Olympic event at the 2010 Winter Olympics, competing in the Men's Giant Slalom event of Alpine skiing. [1] He also participated in the 2007 Asian Winter Games.

Namgial served in the Ladakh Scouts regiment of the Indian Army.

Vanessa-Mae also called Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson, is a Singaporean-born British violinist with album sales reaching several million, having made her the wealthiest entertainer under 30 in the United Kingdom in 2006. Neha Ahuja is an Indian alpine skier who represented India in the 2006 Winter Olympics held in Torino, Italy. Ahuja was also the flag bearer in the opening and closing ceremonies. She has achieved several milestones in skiing for India. She is the first Indian woman to have qualified for the Winter Olympics. She is also the first woman to qualify for both the slalom and giant slalom events in the Olympics. Ahuja was one of the four Indians competing at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. She placed 51st. Her older sister Shefali Ahuja represented India in the 3rd Winter Asian games held in Harbin, China, and her younger sister Swati Ahuja participated in the fourth season of MTV Roadies.

World Para Alpine Skiing Championships

The World Para Alpine Skiing Championships, known before the 2017 edition as the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships, along with the Winter Paralympic Games, are the most prestigious level of international competition in Paralympic alpine skiing. First held in 1974, the World Championships have been held every four years from 1982 to 2004; beginning in 2009, they have been held every other year, in odd-numbered years.
