Molde Fotballklubb is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions and six-time Norwegian Cup winners, and have finished second in the league a further eleven times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League.

Runar Berg is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for Bodø/Glimt, Rosenborg, Tromsø, Lyn, and Venezia. Berg is brother of former Bodø/Glimt and Rosenborg player Ørjan Berg, and son of former Bodø/Glimt midfielder and playmaker Harald Berg.

Jan Åge Fjørtoft is a Norwegian former professional footballer. A powerful centre forward with goalscoring ability, he played professionally in Norway, Austria, England and Germany. In total, he scored 308 goals in 614 games in these four different countries. He made 71 appearances for the Norwegian National Team, captaining the squad in 15 of them, and scored 20 goals for the Norway national team. A pinnacle moment in his national team career was the qualification and participation in the 1994 World Cup held in the USA. Daniel Berg Hestad is a Norwegian football manager and a former player, who played as a central midfielder, most notably for Molde. He is the manager of Molde 2 and the Under-19 squad of Molde. With 666 official appearances, he is the player with most official matches for Molde. He currently holds the record for most matches in Eliteserien with 473. He is three time Norwegian league champion, and four times Norwegian Cup champion with Molde, being the joint most decorated player of the club with 7 trophies along with Etzaz Hussain.
Odd Sigurd Berg is a Norwegian football coach and former player. As a player, he played mostly for Molde FK. In 1974, he became top goalscorer in the top division with 13 goals, the first Molde-player to become top scorer in the top division. He later coached Molde, both as an assistant and head coach.
2009 Norwegian Football Cup final was played between Molde FK and Aalesunds FK on 8 November 2009 on Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway. With both clubs hailing from Møre og Romsdal, the match was dubbed as a local derby between the league silver medalists from Molde and the pride of Ålesund, who ended up as number four from the bottom in the league.

Stein Olav "Laffen" Hestad is a Norwegian former footballer. Hestad spent his entire playing career at Molde FK, where he previously had club record with 681 first-team matches, including 249 matches in the Norwegian top division. Unlike his brother, Harry, "Laffen" was never capped for Norway.

Johannes Jacobus "Jan" van den Berg was a Dutch footballer who spent his entire career at HFC Haarlem. He was one of Haarlem's greatest club icons, being the big name at the club in the first 50 years, Haarlem's first (unofficial) international and (honorary) chairman of the club. He was also a member of the Dutch football squad that competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches.
