Jan Wadas (born 16 May 1944) is a Polish boxer. He competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1968 Summer Olympics. [1] At the 1968 Summer Olympics, he lost to Ivan Mihailov of Bulgaria. [1] At the 1968 Summer Olympics, he lost to Ivan Mihailov of Bulgaria. [1]

Bohumil Němeček was a Czechoslovak welterweight boxer. He first trained in ice hockey, and changed to boxing only in 1955, winning Czech national titles in 1959 and 1960, an Olympic gold medal in 1960, and a European title in 1967. He also competed at the 1964 and 1968 Olympics, but in both cases was eliminated in the second round. After retiring as a participant, Němeček worked as a boxing coach and a bus driver. His health rapidly deteriorated after suffering a stroke in 2000, eventually resulting in death ten years later.

In September 1944, Nazi Germany briefly sought to establish an independent Macedonia, a puppet state in the territory of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia that had been occupied by the Kingdom of Bulgaria following the invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941. When Soviet Union forces approached the borders of Bulgaria near the end of August 1944, Bulgaria declared neutrality and briefly sought to negotiate with the Western Allies. As the Bulgarian government was not impeding the withdrawal of German forces from Bulgaria or Romania, the Soviet Union treated it with suspicion. On 2 September, a new pro-Western government took power in Sofia, only to be replaced a week later by a pro-Soviet government after a Fatherland Front–led coup. However, on 5 September 1944, the Soviets declared war on Bulgaria.

He won a bronze medal in the 55-kg division at the 2004 European Wrestling Championships in Ankara, Turkey, and later represented his nation Bulgaria at the Summer Olympics a few months later. Throughout his sporting career, Djorev trained as a member of the freestyle wrestling team for Sozopol Sports Club in Yambol, under his personal coach Angel Gochev.

Ivan Netov is a Bulgarian sambist and judoka. In sambo, Netov is a multiple-time medalist at the World and European Championships, winning gold at both in 1995. In judo, he won bronze at the 1992 European Championships and competed at the Summer Olympics in 1992 and 1996.
