Jane Jin Kaisen (born 28 May 1980 [1] ) is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark. [2]
Kaisen was born in Jeju Island, South Korea and adopted to Denmark in 1980. She is a Professor at the School of Media Arts at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She received her Ph.D. from University of Copenhagen, her MA in Media Art and Art Theory from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from The University of California Los Angeles. She also participated in The Whitney Independent Study Program.[ citation needed ]
Spanning the mediums of video installation, narrative experimental film, photographic installation, performance, and text, Kaisen’s artistic practice is informed by extensive interdisciplinary research, artistic collaborations, and engagement with diverse communities. She is known for her visually striking, multilayered, performative, poetic, and multi-voiced feminist works through which past and present are brought into relation. Engaging topics such as memory, migration, borders, and translation, she activates the field where lived experience and embodied knowledge intersect with larger political histories. www
She represented Korea at the 58th Venice Biennale with the film installation Community of Parting (2019) alongside artists Hwayeon Nam and siren eun young jeong in the exhibition History Has Failed Us, but No Matter curated by Hyunjin Kim.[ citation needed ]
Her narrative experimental film The Woman, The Orphan, and The Tiger (2010) made in collaboration with Guston Sondin-Kung explores the gendered effects of war and militarism by tracing a genealogy between three generations of women. [3] [4]
In 2011 Jane Jin Kaisen began the multi-channel video installation Reiterations of Dissent for which she was awarded the Montana ENTERPRIZE. The piece has been exhibited widely and in multiple formats, among others at Asia Culture Center (KR), Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art (KR), Aarhus Kunstbygning (DK), Kunsthallen Brandts (DK), Sonoma County Museum (USA), and The Jeju April 3 Peace Park (KR).[ citation needed ]
Jane Jin Kaisen is the co-founder of the artist unit itinerant with Guston Sondin Kung and together they have organized and curated a series of art exhibitions and events. She is also co-founder of the artist groups UFOlab (Unidentified Foreign Object Laboratory) with Anna Jin Hwa Borstam, Charlotte Kim Boed, Jette Hye Jin Mortensen and Trine Meesook Gleerup) as well as the artist group Orientity along with Natsue Haji OH, Kimura byol-nathalie lemoine, Adel KsK, Raymond Hahn, Naomi K. Long. The artist group Orientity has exhibited together in Kyoto Art Center (2004), in Hong Kong at Fringe Club (2005), in Montreal at Galerie La Centrale (2007), in Grenoble at la Maison Internationale (2008), in Lille at Maison Folies (2009) and at Art Space C, Jeju Korea (2021).[ citation needed ]
Jane Jin Kaisen has also curated exhibitions and events. She was a curator of the 10th Open International Performance Art Festival [5] in 2009 in Beijing, China, which included performance artists from many different countries.

Sergei Sviatchenko is a Danish-Ukrainian architect, artist, photographer and curator. He is a representative of the Ukrainian New Wave, that arose in Ukraine up through the 1980s. Initiator and creative director of the Less Festival of Collage, Viborg and Just A Few Works. He has lived in Denmark since the 1990s. Sviatchenko graduated from Kharkov National University of Construction and Architecture in 1975, and in 1986 he studied a Ph.D. at the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture. Sviatchenko is the son of architect Evgenij Sviatchenko (1924–2004), who was professor of architecture and a member of the National Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, and engineer Ninel Sviatchenko (1926–2000). In 1975 Sergei Sviatchenko completed his architectural studies at Kharkov National University of Construction and Architecture. Sergei Sviatchenko is especially oriented towards architecture's modern expressions, among these are Constructivism and the contemporary European Bauhaus movement. From his teacher, Professor Viktor Antonov, Sviatchenko was introduced to the film director Andrei Tarkovsky, and particularly his film Mirror from 1975 has left a thematic footprint in Sviatchenko's more recent collage art. After having worked as an architect for a number of architectural firms in Kharkov until 1983, Sviatchenko moved to Kyiv, where he graduated the master's program at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture|Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture, having completed his Ph.D. dissertation "Means to Visual Information in Architecture". In the 1980s he was one of the founders of the Soviart Center for Contemporary Art (Soviart) in Kiev and co-organizer and curator of the first Ukrainian exhibitions of contemporary art "Kiev-Tallinn" at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute|Kiev Polytechnic Institute(1987), "Kiev-Kaunas" (1988), the first joint exhibition by Soviet and American artists (1988) and curated the first Ukrainian exhibitions in Denmark: "21 perceptions. Young Contemporary Ukrainian Artists" (1989), "Ukrainian Art 1960–80" (1990), "7 + 7" which was the first joint exhibition by Soviet and Danish artists (1990) and "Flash. A New Generation of Ukrainian Art" (1990). At the end of 1990 Sviatchenko moved to Denmark with his wife Helena Sviatchenko having been awarded an art scholarship. In the same year he began to participate in solo and group exhibitions.

Jørgen Haugen Sørensen was one of Denmark's most eminent sculptors. He had his artistic debut at the acclaimed and prestigious Spring Exhibition (Forårsudstillingen) at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen in 1953. Haugen Sørensen was a member of the artistic union Decembristerne and the artist collective Grønningen, as well as Veksølund in Denmark.

Suck-Woo Park, also known as Suku Park, is a South Korean contemporary ceramic artist and a council member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
Choi Jeonghwa is an artist and designer whose work moves between the disciplines of visual art, graphic design, industrial design and architecture. His inspiration comes from popular culture and day-to-day life. Large-scale outdoor sculptures crafted from diverse materials such as consumer goods, balloons, wires, as well as recycled and found objects are the hallmarks of Choi's playful repertoire.

Andreas Emenius is a Swedish cross-disciplinary artist known for installation, painting, and performance, based in Copenhagen. Emenius has shown work in multiple global biennales as well as museums, and is currently the curator and co founder of the Nordic Contemporary, a gallery for contemporary art featuring Scandinavian artists, in Paris, France. Emenius works additionally as a film director and is a contributor for SHOWstudio, a fashion and film platform founded by British photographer Nick Knight. Emenius teaches occasionally as a visual arts professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and is currently represented by Shin Gallery In New York. Emenius is the husband of prominent New York fashion designer Elena Velez with whom he shares two children.
Sofie Hesselholdt and Vibeke Mejlvang are a collaborative duo of visual artists who live and work in Copenhagen. They started collaborating in late 1999 and work with performance art and site-specific installations in public spaces addressing social and political topics such as National Identity and Eurocentrism.
siren eun young jung is a South Korean contemporary artist working in video, performance, installation, and photography. The Seoul-based artist explores issues around gender and sexuality in relation to Korean history, politics, and culture through long-term research projects. Her work is often centered on figures or artistic practices effaced or excluded from conventional archives.
Søren Dahlgaard is a Danish visual artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dahlgaard's work is known for exploring the absurdity and playfulness of everyday life, transforming mundane objects and activities into action sculptures, and environmental and socially engaged art.
