The Jharkhand Navnirman Mahasabha Third Alliance (JANMAT) is an electoral alliance of 10 political parties founded in 2024 in the Indian state of Jharkhand, to contest the Assembly election against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) Bloc. Rashtriya Lok Samta Party was a political party in India led by Upendra Kushwaha. It was launched on 3 March 2013 and was based in the state of Bihar. The party came into existence as a result of a feud between Nitish Kumar and Upendra Kushwaha, after which Kushwaha left The Nitish Kumar lead Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party. It has faced multiple rebellions and desertions since 2015. After the relations between Nitish and Kushwaha normalized, Upendra Kushwaha merged RLSP into JDU on 14 March 2021, with this, the party ceased to exist.

Santosh Kumar alias Santosh Kushwaha is an Indian politician and a former Member of Parliament representing the Purnia constituency in Bihar. He was first elected in the 2014 Indian general election, having run as the Janata Dal (United) candidate in the constituency. In 2010 he was also elected as Member of Legislative assembly of the Baisi of Purnea district as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. One month before 2014 lok sabha election he joined JD(U) as he was nominated as the party candidate for Lok Sabha election for Purnea constituency.

The 2005 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election was held in three phases from 3 to 23 February 2005 to elect the 81 members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. It was the first election held in Jharkhand to elect the Second Jharkhand Legislative Assembly; the First/Interim Jharkhand Legislative Assembly was constituted based on the 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Jharkhand was created by carving out the southern districts of Bihar on 15 November 2000. The election resulted in a hung assembly like the first one. No single party or pre-election alliance got the majority. The Bharatiya Janata Party become the biggest party by winning 30 seats. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha got 17 seats and the Indian National Congress got nine seats.

Champai Soren is an Indian politician who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2 February 2024 to 3 July 2024 after the arrest of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on allegations of money laundering. Earlier and later, he served as cabinet minister under Hemant Soren.

The Grand Democratic Secular Front (GDSF) was a coalition of political parties in the Indian state of Bihar formed on 8 October 2020 after the merger of the constituents of the United Democratic Secular Alliance and a three party front. The coalition was formed in the wake of the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election and consisted of 6 parties.

Hafizul Ansari is an Indian politician and the current Cabinet Minister in Government of Jharkhand and MLA from Madhupur, Jharkhand. He is the son of Haji Hussain Ansari, Former Cabinet Minister in same Cabinet. He belongs to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party.

The Bhagidari Parivartan Morcha is a Political Alliance of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Jan Adhikar Party of Babu Singh Kushwaha, Rashtriya Parivartan Morcha of Waman Meshram, Bahujan Mukti Party, Bhartiya Vanchit Samaj Party and Janata Kranti Party for 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. Morcha had promised Two Chief Ministers and Three Deputy Chief Ministers if they come to power. Morcha decided to support Candidates of Peace Party of India in February 2022.

Sanjay Nishad is an Indian politician serving as a cabinet minister in the Second Yogi Adityanath ministry. He has been a member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council since 2021. As a member of the Nishad caste, he founded the NISHAD Party in 2016.

Salkhan Soren was an Indian politician and a prominent leader in movement for separate state of Jharkhand. Soren was a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Soren was a member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from the Gandey constituency in Giridih district in 1985, 1990, 2000 and 2005. Soren died on 19 December 2016.
